I chose a book as my "One Thing" because I love to read. Reading provides me with an escape from reality. I can spend all day reading, if I could. I love when the world and the characters that the author creates comes to life inside my mind.

My "one thing" is a book and, in this case a book from the "Harry Potter" series.
I often have a book with me wherever I go and being a bibliophile defines me to the core.
This series holds a special place in my heart because my grandfather has gifted me the first three books of the series in an attempt to get me to read more, as he was the person I looked up to and knew that he could influence me to love books the way he did. I instantly loved the story and got hooked, having my mom buy me the rest of the books in the series as soon as they came out. Throughout my teenage years books (all the books I could get my hands on) became my refuge from everything bad that was going on around me and I would stay up late to read each night, sometimes using a mini flashlight.
Up to now I have re-read the whole "Harry Potter" series quite a number of times and it has the same effect on me as it did when I was younger.

My one thing is tattoos. :) My son is ofc the absolute most important thing in my life (followed by my cats), but he's not a toddler anymore so there's no suitable representation of him available in Bimboland at this point. He asked me a few months ago what I collect, and my initial response was that I don't collect anything. Then a couple of weeks later, after yet another tattoo session, it dawned on me: I collect tattoos. :)

In August 2018. I lost my cousin due to cancer. He was not only my cousin, he was my brother and one of my best friends. We had a lot in common, had similar interests, similar points of view, we shared a lot of things, even our birthdays were on the same day with him being only one year older than me. Discovering that he is sick was shocking for me. His death was devastating! A few days ago was six months of his death and I still cannot believe and accept what happened. The day doesn't pass that I don't have a thought about him or recall some memory of time we spent together. We used to going out together and having fun. We had long talks on various themes and always had good and quality time together. I shared with him my secrets I wouldn't share share with someone else. He always understood and rarely judge. He was one of the best persons I've ever known and this loss really hit me hard. Not only because he was one of 'my people' but also because he was still young, full of life and dreams for the future. About two months before his death I had a dream of him where he was telling me that everything is going to be alright. But it wasn't.
I wish I can talk with him again and see him again. I wish we spent more time together in past. Ouija board as a part of my outfit represents all of that and importance of communication and connections in general. Communication may kill or heal any relationship. Connections and communication with dear people are important, as well as nurturing them. Such things are precious and should be treated that way, because one day it may be too late...

My "one thing" are my red tango shoes. I picked up this hobby a few years ago and have been dancing ever since. Tango has helped heal me in so many ways. Learning to dance awakened my body and strengthened my connection with myself. I feel so much joy when I feel my body dancing to the music, and music which is so deep and emotional that it speaks to my soul. To dance out heartbreak, grief, and passionate love is cathartic as my own emotions play out on the floor. If I get that perfect dancer partner too, our connection as we read each other's minds and tell the story of the song...is heavenly :). Tango also introduced me to a group of people I could call my second family, and little do they realize that they saved me at a dark time in my life. I could not do without them! Tango even introduced me to the love of my life! I can barely imagine what my life would be like without this beautiful dance in my life...so I had to choose my red tango shoes (funny enough, they actually look exactly like the ones in my entry!).

A Ximbo senator is a senior member of the Internet republic of Ximbo land. Only senators are eligible to put themselves forward for election to become State Ministers and then ultimately the Prime Ximbo.

The Prime Ximbo is the democratically elected head of the Internet republic of Ximbo land.

I want to become Prime Ximbo. How do I do that?
Any Ximbo citizen can become Prime Ximbo using the democratic process. Its a 3 stage process from Senator>State Minister> Prime Ximbo. All Ximbo citizens can vote in general elections but in order to put themselves forward to become Prime Ximbo they must first become a Ximbo senator. All Ximbo senators are electable as state ministers. State Minister elections take place every 4 months also. Only state ministers are eligible to then become the Prime Ximbo.

Can I become Prime Ximbo more than once?
Yes ­ a Ximbo can hold the position of Prime Ximbo for 3 terms max.

How often do elections take place?
The Internet republic of Ximbolands holds elections every 4 months for Prime Ximbo and 4 months for State Minister.

Where do important discussions take place?
The Forum.

What is the treasury/Prime Ximbos salary?
The treasury/salary is the bank account of the Internet republic of Ximbo land. This figure is transferred to the paypal account of the Prime Ximbo at the end of their 4 month term in charge.

How is the treasury calculated?
The treasury is funded by the Ximbo citizens.
A percentage of the money paid by Ximbo citizens via Paypal and SMS is transferred into the Ximbo treasury. The rest is wisely used for further game development.
