Maybe some people don't care about the forum or don't understand the political theme of the game (which is still, up to this point, not very clear). Or they're here just for the fashion game. Players weren't interested at first because there was nothing to do. Now, there's something to do but the States still don't fit on that. Probably, if the game advances towards the direction that Lilliandra said, people will start gathering more and having a feeling of pertenence to their place. I don't know.

By the way, I felt a little dissapointed when I saw in the election results there were only about 70 votes, over a community of 12.000 players. Not all of them are active, but I want to think there's more than 70 people here.

I totally agree, with every single point SGG just said.

1: I see no political speech on the forum.  I've come to believe that I am afraid to write about some of the political news of the day out of fear of offending anyone.  I'd like to start like a "Topic of the Day" on the forum, but I'm not sure where I could steal the time from my life to do it right.  I'll toss that out to the senators, once I have a chance to get that organized.  It is a simple concept for a thread, but it might inspire some political conversation and spirit in the various cities.

2:  70 votes does sound very low.  I wasn't really paying attention when I logged in and just out of habit closed the pop-up window instantly.  I actually had forgotten what day it was too.  ( I live on a 36 hour day body clock cycle.  Days become meaningless to me. )  I'm not discouraged about that number however.  It is about 3 times the average amount of players who post in the forum.  I think this is good. Because the way I see it, is that some are just silent players, and some were new players who just joined that day, and voted blindly.  So there is a constant stream of new players to our fair Republic.

tbh, I was surprised at how many people voted, it was far more than I expected. It's still dissappointing how few voted. Maybe next election there could be a description written by each candidate that displays on the voting page, so new players aren't going eeny-meeny-miny-mo to choose, or basing off who has the coolest name, etc.

70 out of 12,000
Sounds like your typical voter turnout in America. ;-)

Congrats HLB! I hope all the goals you and we have in mind are achieved to make this community stronger.

I'm surprised there were 70 votes since I can almost count with my fingers the amount of people active in the forum. I really hope that as this site improves the community also increases.

I was amused. This election was surprising. I agree with Latina when she said she was shocked there were 70 votes. I can count just below 15 active people on here.

I use " The Lists " to judge the pulse of the players in the forum.  It is natural for me to do so because I keep them updated.  I get the privilege of seeing first hand the players progress and cheer that success.  I always thought a score card was important to the game.  it should be built into the game.  I wish even the silent players would use " The Lists."  It's a great way to earn Reputation points, and you don't even need to say anything. Everyone can join the community, but often prefer to stand on the sidelines.  It would be nice to see the progress that they make too.

I only became the senator representing Atheista very recently and feel like there are hardly any members from that state. Didn't realise the town halls were really a thing but I also think people just like chatting to each other in general thread regardless of what state. We're such a small community that it's hard to really do the whole state thing right now. Even if it doesn't work it's worth still representing your state for when the site gets big enough that it means something.

Agreed on this, its a concept that came in a bit early. You don't build an entire city with outlining towns before you have the people to fill them!

Agree with Bambi and Remi. Maybe it's a good time to re activate the town halls to get new players involved. There should be a way to keep them always in the first page so everyone would see them everytime.
