10 diamonds is a lot. Diamonds are hard to come by. You can't buy them with B$ and you can't get them unless you find them or win some spinning the lottery wheel. Or plug your credit card in.

It's not that a lot to pay when you want to see one outfit you really like. But it could be a lot if you are going to check 20 outfits.
On the other hand, there wasn't one single case of copied outfits, there were more of them and not all of them were so recent. The one that won 3rd in PBFC just attracted the most attention because everyone could see it, but it wasn't a lonely case. We also receive reports on players copying someone else's outfits which means players are upset because of copycats. Everyone is aware that 10 diamonds won't stop someone from being a
copycat if they really want to be it, but at least it will be harder.This at least may prevent massive copping.
A player can always ask another one about outfit list. Everyone sane assumes that the one who asked for it won't copy the entire outfit. So it's different. At least, the one now has a choice to share or not to share their list.

Am I the only one who has no idea what most of the items are called? If someone asked me “what’s the name of the skirt on your retro outfit?” I’d have absolutely no answer for them, because I don’t know it. Is there some way to see the names of items that I’m not aware of?

Hey, on the topic of new jobs, I think it would be a good idea for some job titles to be removed. The one that comes to mind for me is "people smuggler"; I don't think that using human trafficking as a career option is very tasteful.

Downside to the asking is that not all players are always reachable/active some goes in hiatus for a long time..

Punishing someone for copying an outfit is hard, since you'd have to prove that your outfit came first, and that it is an original idea (not mirror-copies obviously, but similar looks could be a coincidence). Although some people here have very distinct styles, it's easy to recognize them.
For fashion contests, I suggest hiding your look after you submit it, especially now that we have so many outfit slots.

Yes. Blecky and Alexis, you are both right. Punishing was considered as a very straightforward solution. But that way there would be a problem proving what came first as Aexis said, and also where to draw the line in terms of how much of outfit was copied. Was is 10+ items or 70+% of outfit and things like that. Was the copied outfit contained only 10 items or 50 items. It is also easy to get into a problem of similar and almost the same outfits made by pure coincidence. It happens quite often that players set the shop on 'popularity highest first' and make outfit from the items from the first page. It's actually very common especially with new players who are still learning to navigate through the shop. That way many may end up with similar outfits just because they wanted trendy items :)
