I_Am_In_Your_Walls

So as per ANCHIENT SLAVIC RIGHT OF PASSAGE (so like, just another thursday) I wanted to actually make myself a recipe book. The problem is, I have like, three dishes on my own (not including my moms and grandmommas recipe books)...
Sooo I was wondering if you guys have anything fun to share. And I start by sharing something very easy I found on the internet a while ago!

Creamy tomato pasta  ⸜(⸝⸝⸝´꒳`⸝⸝⸝)⸝ (vegetarian)

Ingredients:
- a block of feta cheese (one of those salad cheeses will also do, and they are way cheaper)
- about 3-4 large tomatos, or about 300g-400g of cherry tomatos.
- pasta of your choice (spaghetti is preferable)
- Herbs (Basil, thyme and anything you personally like!)
- About 10g of olive oil OR vegetable oil.
- And a deep dish you can use in the oven!

Recipe:
- Preheat your oven to 250 C
- Splash some olive oil on the bottom of your dish, make sure it's even!
- Place the block of feta cheese in the middle, cut into two pieces if the block is longer.
- Cut your tomatos into 1/4rd's, or in half if you are using cherry tomatos (for regular tomatos I reccomend steaming them beforehand to peel the skin off)
- Place the tomatos around the block of feta cheese, preferably to cover the bottom (add more if needed!)
- Pour some olive oil on top of the cheese and tomatos and then top them up with your herbs and spices of choice!
- Put the dish in the oven for 30 - 40 minutes.( In the meantime, cook your pasta by following the instructions on it!)
- After the sauce is cooked, take it out of the oven and mush the cheese and tomatos together untill you have a nice, creamy sauce.
Enjoy!!

Lovely work ! I've been meaning to write down some recipes onto cards, so here are two contributions from me :)

=========================================================

Green Wreaths (perfect for christmas!)

Ingredients:
32 large marshmallows
6 Tablespoons of butter
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla
1/2 teaspoon of almond extract
1 teaspoon of green food coloring
4 cups of cornflakes
red cinnamon candies

Recipe:
Melt marshmallows and butter in large saucepan over low heat.
Mix in flavorings and food coloring.
Add cornflakes and stir until coated.
Place pan over hot water; stir occasionally.
Butter hands well.
Drop mixture from spoon onto waxed paper; form into wreaths immediately.
Decorate with cinnamon candies before wreaths harden.

Makes 2 dozen or more depending on size.

=========================================================

Carrot Cake (my favorite birthday cake recipe)

Mix well:
4 eggs
2 cups of sugar
1 and 1/2 cups of oil
2 cups of flour

Mix into above mixture:
1 and 1/2 teaspoons of cinnamon
2 teaspoons of baking soda
1 teaspoon of salt
3 cups of grated carrots (the more you can fit into the batter, the better, though it does make the cake more dense)

Add, mix well
Pour mixture into greased and floured cake pan or 3 layer pans.
Bake at 350 Fahrenheit for 30 to 40 minutes until toothpick comes clean or looks done.
Cool 1 hour and apply frosting.

Carrot Cake Frosting (cream cheese frosting)

8 oz. of cream cheese, softened
1 stickof butter, softened
1 teaspoon of vanilla
2 cups of powdered sugar

Mix well until creamy

=========================================================

hope you enjoy ^^

ive actually been trying 2 learn more recipes this year so im totally on board 4 this project. here's a easy tilapia recipe i like from the gooseberry patch cookbooks!

Greek Tilapia with Orzo

1 1/2 lbs. tilapia fillets

1 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil

1 tsp. dried oregano (or 1 Tbsp. chopped fresh oregano)

1/2 lemon, cut into wedges

salt and freshly ground pepper to taste

1 pt. cherry tomatoes, halved

1/2 lb. orzo pasta, cooked

Optional: crumbled feta cheese

Rinse fish fillets and pat dry. Place in a lightly greased 9” x 13” baking pan; sprinkle liberally with lemon juice, oregano, and oil. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 to 18 minutes, until fish is opaque and flakes easily. Place orzo and tomatoes around sides of fish, spooning on pan juices. Bake for 5 to 10 minutes, until fish is opaque and juices are caramelized. Serve topped with feta cheese, if desired. Serves 4.
