It's been about 6 days since application for March PBFC started, you could see how it works so far and perhaps came up with an opinion which of two options do you prefer.
1. Multiple polls public voting
- suggestions are public
- themes are public
- everyone knows who suggested which theme
- voting is public in terms of everyone can see which theme got the most votes
- the prize is 1 Medium Chest + 200 Ds
*Pros:
- Everyone can suggest the theme
- Everyone who is level 16 or up can vote
- I don't discard themes unless they are strongly in collision with the rules
- Multiple polls offer the second chance each time (If you previously voted for the theme that dropped out you can vote again for any of those that passed farther)
*Cons:
- It became quite predictable which theme is going to win
- There is no surprise factor at all
- Suggestions are often based mostly on bimbo outfits which makes it difficult for himbos
- Some of suggestions are not really in accordance to what we have in shops
- Sometimes players vote for the headline and not description and what the theme is actually about
- Often players vote for the theme that sounds interesting without paying attention if there are fitting items for it or does it suit himbos
- The prize for the winning theme is significantly smaller
- Some players got discouraged to suggest themes because of post downvotes and/or not enough votes in the polls
2. Secret pick
- suggestions are secret (via BL inbox)
- themes are secret
- no one knows who suggested which theme
- there are no polls and voting, instead I pick the theme based on description, items availability, originality, challenge factor (imo it's good to have a theme that is a bit challenging but not impossible to follow while staying on topic), etc.
- the prize is 1 month of senatorship + 500 Ds for citizens or 1 500 Ds for senators
- There is a 'surprise' factor
- There is a 'challenge' factor
- No one gets any advantage in any way, not even a player who suggested the winning theme
- If anyone thinks it gives me an advantage for knowing the theme before others I am ready to step back from participating
- Themes are picked to fit both shops (and dolls)
- The prize is significantly bigger
- Some players feel more comfortable to suggest the theme in private
*Cons:
- Involvement of the rest of the players is lesser since there are no polls and voting
- The theme might not be of majority's taste (tho not every active player vote in polls either)
