[Firstly, thanks a bunch for hosting this contest and for the invite! I had multiple ideas for this, but eventually stuck to this one (there's some rambling ahead). It's related to the lore behind my career outfit, if that matters. This was fun to do, either way. And there are some really nice and creative outfits and backstories, so well done to everyone.]

In a very distant future - one where genetically modified catgirls patrol the streets - tales of a "stray" haunt many a backstreet. A lifetime of rigorous training, combined with Fulcrum Inc.'s cutting edge bioengineering, is supposed to guarantee the excellence of the Feli-human police force, introduced with the intent of protecting Bimboland's citizens. Despite the attempts at Fulcrum to smother any rumours of the failure in their project, such stories have been causing some unrest among members of the population. Few, however, know the truth behind them. The so-called "stray", who prefers to be addressed as "The Captain" (or simply "Captain"), had been somewhat of a prodigy during her time in the force.

She excelled in her training, becoming known for her astuteness during drills and tests and graduating from Fulcrum's police academy at a younger age than most cadets. Her original name, Zoe (given by one of the caretakers who raised her), was replaced with a number by which she'd be referred to for the rest of her time in service: #301. At first, the young policewoman demonstrated potential. She seemed passionate about her one and only job, and it was just as well. Any catgirls who demonstrated unwillingness to collaborate with societal plans to their fate would disappear to who knows where, their existence lost to the sands of time. It was after a certain day, however, when she began to display psychological instability. After partaking in a mission, she was found suffering from a breakdown which she refused to talk about. It is believed that the disappearance of her dear friend, #288, had affected her more deeply than regulations would consider "healthy". Despite appearing to be fine after many mandatory therapy sessions (in which she kept as quiet as possible), she was deemed fit enough to serve again. A mistake: she fled during her very last operation, and was reborn as an outlaw, serving the very underworld which she was ordered to fight against. The nickname "Captain" came from the cap she would wear, which is said to have belongedto a gang member she did away with, hence the lack of ear holes.

Despite her eccentric appearance, she doesn't stand out so much from the rest of the cast, who also dress quite outlandishly. Some trivia: Her eyepatch, customized with Swarovski rhinestones, conceals an empty socket; resulting from severe ocular trauma during combat. Not having both eyes hinders her, but she is reluctant to discuss this possible weakness.

Recently, she's been having conflicts with one pesky cat-policewoman, who considers The Captain her nemesis and is determined to track her down.

Let me introduce you Maoko Moore, the most villainous anime villain in Tokyo. She used to be a nice, pretty girl who dated a handsome superhero called Eito Lynch. Their relationship was perfect, Eito brought her flowers, took her to dates and movies and then all of sudden.... He ended up being an asshole and cheated on her with her so-called best friend.
The rage due the betrayal started growing, burning inside Maoko Moore so bad that eventually she gained some evil superpowers. Now her purposes are to mess around in nights of Tokyo encourage criminals to commit crimes, rob clothes shops, spread terrible rumors of her ex best friend and ruin her life. And most importantly: destroy all of the her asshole ex's hero work and eventually kill him.

Rosa Bluebelle, a name to match a special girl. Always seen wearing her favourite pink dress, and carrying a porcelain doll. Rosy, sun-kissed skin, long vanilla tresses and the most striking blue eyes, in likeness to the flower: Bluebell. However her short life was plucked away. A jealous mistress wanting a lovers eyes only on her, and a man obsessed with preserving her beauty forever. The envy the woman felt consumed her, and in her rage she destroyed the young girls body. Cutting her luscious locks, hacking her body in pieces, and leaving them scattered in shallow graves. The Lady’s beloved then only had one request, if he could not have Rosa, then he should at least keep her eyes.
Many years came and went, and by some miracle, the young girl awoke; but she was not so young anymore. Despite having long since passed her body continued to grow. She was no longer a child. Her skin now sickly pale, stitched and leathery. Her body shaped, like her most loved porcelain doll, her pink dress much too short. Wielding the very axe used against her, Rosa stalks the earth in search of her cobalt orbs, while hunting any and every person she can find; her light hair now stained with the blood of her victims. No one helped her, or came to her pleas, so that means they’re all guilty right?

In the 80's, Rock 'n Roll was a very male-dominated culture. Glam rock, especially - balls to wall testosterone and booze, paired with platform boots and plenty of hairspray, gave bands like Motley Crue their claim to fame. But that didn't stop Victoria Blue. Raised by two masquerade dwelling burlesque performers, Victoria Blue had plenty of experience in showmanship and performance. Upon turning 18, Victoria fled her home and reinvented herself in California, going by the name of Live Wire. She tried to rise to the top of the glam rock world, but again and again, she was pushed to the side by other bands. Quickly, she came to realize the darker parts of this world. Drugs and alcohol she could deal with. But what she hated was the older men preying on the much younger women, the bands encouraging flashing for "backstage passes", and the objectification and humiliation she saw and endured at every show.

Live Wire used her dramatics, and the burlesque skills and fashion she learned growing up (mixed with the glam rock elements she lived around now), to create a name for herself. She drew men in, asked them to listen to her song. They humored her, and ended up with an axe to their head. Each and every one of them learned their lessons. Many tried to kill her, having connected the dots of previous men's deaths, but her voice overpowered them. See, there was something special about Live Wire. When she killed people, she not only took their lives, but she took the power they held over others, and gave it to herself. She kills now to stay alive, as their power is what keeps her heart beating.

At first, she only killed those who deserved it. But as time went on, anyone who looked at her could be a target.

Nowadays, you can find her singing at the Helter Skelter Burlesque House, but don't get too close - she still swings her axe if you look at her wrong.
