Depends on how old you are, if you're like 60 and your partner is 80 then I think it's more ok than if you're freshly 18 and dating a 38 year old. Does that make sense?

Yes it does. Humans are still developing at those ages. It really does come down to the individuals, though. It could go very well or it could go horribly wrong.

i don't really fw huge age gap relationships for myself because of my personal experience with it but i can only hope it's between two consenting adults. it can be a good learning experience for some people who realize it's not for them. it's more dependent on where both adults are in life; it's weird if someone who's had a career for years dates someone who's still in their formative years of college. as two people both get older, an age gap matters much less. a 10-year age gap is different with a 20-year-old and a 30-year-old vs. a 40-year-old and a 50-year-old and so on.
It's normal to be attracted to older people. But depending on your stages of life and development, it's not normal for someone older to be attracted to you. someone 25 and 35 seems okay to me. But a big age gap with someone under 24/25 seems a little icky to me
tl;dr: age gaps are hot and morally conflicting. my dear friend (and ex) is in her early 30s with a 20 year old and I love them both. it's healthier than a lot of couples I've met that are the same age life is weird and fuzzy and an age gap alone may increase the chance of a bad dynamic, but it doesn't ensure it

I think that you should be older than 26 to be in a age gap relationship because a 20 year old and 30 year old are very different but a 30 year old and 40 year old are more similar than the first example because their experiences and life ventures. And the frontal lobe fully develops at 25.

honestly they re not that bad as long as both are older, not barely legal and a 40 yo. there s a huuuge power imbalance in those types of age gap relationships and they re creepy asf, i don t trust people who date people under like 20, where the age gap is more than like 4 years MAAAX.
