I saved up for a switch and im obsessed with breath of the wild, splatoon 2 and minecraft. Botw was my first experience with video games aside from roblox (if that even counts) and i have 500+ hours in it. I have about 200+ hours in splatoon 2 but im only on level 40 because i just screw around in private battles. Im horrible at building in Minecraft but its calming. I love playing them even though i dont have motion controls anymore (i had to replace my joysticks w a pro controller because they kept driftingggg)
I too play roblox! I also love Payday 2, brawlhalla, CSGO etc.. I'm frequently playing Toontown rewritten and Town of Salem also!

oh man i have SO many games!! i largely like story-driven games, but i'm also up for anything that breaks the mold of "gritty hyperrealistic FPS" or "simple lowpoly simulator game" ... jazzpunk is pretty cool on that front, but the camera movement kinda gives me a headache.

staple games, though, are definitely stuff like fallout: new vegas and the outer worlds; i also absolutely love subnautica, i should get my hands on below zero!! fallout 4 is pretty good but i like it more for graphics and mechanics rather than the actual writing :/
free-to-play stuff that i like is ROBLOX (eternal classic, i joined in like '09 and i've had my current account since '11) and Trove! i had warframe but i think i uninstalled it.
i've had sooo much fun picking up games with the events and stuff that Epic Games has been doing ... new free game every two weeks and they had a game a day for 12 days for christmas!! from all the free games i've picked up slime rancher, subnautica, conarium (a horror game! wasn't expecting to enjoy it but it's pretty cool) as well as celeste, superhot, and the talos principle!
i DO really want to get my hands on a copy of Borderlands 3; i've played 2, pre-sequel and Tales. i started the og borderlands but i never actually got to finish it!
bullet hell/roguelikes are pretty epic too, nuclear throne is definitely a favorite but i like enter the gungeon too! i should really play binding of isaac, lots of people have said that its really good :o

Oooooh I love subnautica! It's the only survival game I've been into even though it scares the shit out of me at times, and I hate being scared. I remember playing it while it was still at that stage where you couldn't even explore the ship, and actively seeing it develop was very interesting and unique to me.

I'm definitely that one girl that's not only still playing Fallout New Vegas but Fallout 2. If you're into isometric RPGs I can't recommend it enough! (Also the first video game to include gay marriage!) In that same genre I'm absolutely wild about Baldur's Gate, and the Enhanced Edition is amazing. If you ever played Skyrim (I know I wasted a couple hundred hours on cookie cutter dungeons and side quests) I cannot recommend the complete overhaul mod Enderal enough. It's free on steam as long as you have the base game, and it introduces a completely original world and story, with completely overhauled and improved mechanics. I always love to play a caster but got bored of skyrims handful of damaging spells I always ended up just spamming- Enderal introduces powerful combo and chaining mechanics to encourage spell synergies, and the leveling system encourages weird combinations so every run feels new. It really shines through in the exploration though- no two dungeons are the same, and locations that would be essentially pointless in the base game always have small character upgrades or even unique weapons and armor with custom meshes.

Oh, and if you're into puzzle games with an ARG feel, I highly recommend Glittermitten Grove- it's totally inconspicuous and looks incredibly boring from the steam page, until it catapults you down an insanely deep rabbit hole. And if you get bored of playing with fairies before you crack the code, just type "butts" at any time to start the actual game.  You can also play the prequel for free online by just googling "Frog Fractions"
