I had such an awkward moment today. This acquaintance of mine was saying bye and I couldnt tell if he was going for a high five or props, and the awkward thing happened when you don't know what to do with your hands D: I awkwardly laughed it off but now I'm thinking about it and it won't stop bugging me.. I hate being shy, my whole life I've felt like people are uncomfortable around me because of it. I had this awkward moment for the first time in a long time, and now I can't stop thinking how he must think I'm weird. I just want to be comfortable being myself, but with strangers it's hard sometimes I feel like I would just weird them out or give the wrong impression. Anyways I want to know if you've had any awkward moments? I'm sure someone's got some mortifying stories to tell lol

That happens to me all the time! I never know what to do with my arms and body while greeting or being close to people. I hate being touched so I try not to touch other people. People is so used to hugging and kissing on the cheek that I don't want to seem a weirdo and try to do the same but I guess they notice my movements are strange lol.

My optician recommended throwing my contact lens solution out of the window rather than in the sink when I'm done with it. Did this this morning and didn't realise my elderly neighbour was gardening right below. So awkward.
Yesterday some guy posted on my facebook wall that he wanted to make love to me and i honestly only spoke to this guy once some months back. I went to the mall today to meet up with some friends and was in a store when the guy passed the store window. I turned real quick because what a coincidence that i'd see him today?! It felt really awkward for me.
I felt bad about deleting my first post. It got a bit to personal for my comfort level. That felt awkward.
I do have another story to tell about a personal awkwardness that might even fit in with Halloween. I was being haunted by a voice in my dance studio. It is very acoustically perfect with a lot of tiny speakers everywhere. I would hear a speaking voice very faintly at any time of the day if it was perfectly silent in the house. I wasn't even sure if I was hearing it, for the longest time. It was totally random too. I would occasionally ask visitors if they could hear the voice. Few ever could, but they didn't know what they were listening for, because it was so faint. It drove me crazy trying to find where it was coming from. One day, I systematically turned off and unplugged everything in my home, except the speakers as they are hard wired. Sure enough, I could hear the voice speaking. I was driven quite insane for a year because somehow my speakers were picking up an AM radio transmission. One single speaker out of 12.
I had it replaced and the replacement did the same thing. Never could figure out a solution, but I do keep that speaker disabled now. I feel so much better now that I don't need to question my own sanity.

I trip over my own feet almost every day, I've ran into a wall once, and gave myself a black eye too
I'm very clumsy, the other day i was walking across the street and tripped. I could hear the man next to me giggle.
At university, friends had told me a guy from one of my classes was looking for me to ask me on a date. I had just been up all night studying for an exam, so hadn't really put my usual amount of effort into my appearance that day. If you can call sweats and a tank effort at all that is. I spotted him walking across the quad, so I done what any normal person would, hid against the nearest wall. Whilst leaning against the wall praying he didn't see me, I could see a sign in front of me. 'Caution, wet paint'. As it turned out, he did see me and so did 100 or so others. But the day ended with a pretty spectacular date of pizza and a movie at my place while he helped me wash paint out of my hair in a basin.
