yeah so i dated this guy from denmark for 2 years. he was really nice and handsome although occasionally stupid. anyways i was like No i can't do this long distance thing anymore so i broke up with him, but after that he went like really fucking weird??? like he would call me every day in that next week sobbing or lamenting about how his life is miserable. anyways he called me one day like "i have a girlfriend now" and i was like ok sweet! good for you and he kept going like "yeah we have really great sex. it's amazing. she likes it when i beat her up and step on her. sometimes she says my dick hurts her" and graphic shit like that and i was like.. what in the goddamn... like i dont know why he expected me to get jealous that he didn't...beat me?? anyways... i hung up <3

I have been in 1 relationship many years ago. She was mentally and physically abusive. I have no idea why I stayed with her for 3 years, but I have trouble coming up for myself. I tried breaking up a few times, but somehow she always managed to squirm her way back into my life.
Two years in the relationship she managed to alienate my friends from me, now I know they weren't real friends. I was exactly where she wanted me. Broken and alone. And then 3 years into the relationship she broke up with me. I was completely destroyed, there was nothing left of me.
In hindsight I am glad it's over but she ruined me for anyone else. I am scared to get into any kind of relationship now, even though it's over 2 decades ago

First real relationship came summer after graduated, genuinely very nice dude and i really thought i liked him. Was sick to my stomach when he kissed me. He told me he loved me, and he seemed so happy. After he left i cried in my moms arms, then in the shower, then over dinner. Had to message him to let him know that I couldn't be with him. I identify as a lesbian now and I hope he's got a nice girl, but I still feel like such an asshole all this time later. It really was a "it's not you it's me" type situation.
