For me, "Bimbo" is a part of one of the greatest journeys in my life. I logged in for the first time in 2008, I believe. Loved Miss Bimbo, the atmosphere, forum, the friends I met back then. When I saw that the website was alive again, I wasn't sure what to expect from Bimboland. There were many similarities, but the name itself suggested that something had already changed and would not go back to its previous shape. Yet, I stayed. I've met even more amazing people I'm happy to keep in touch on different kinds of chats and have lots of fun here. I think it is beautiful that a game can affect one's life so deeply.
Now, the site's name changed again and I can't stop thinking that it might be just the beginning. That we, as players who have been devoted to BL for years, have nothing to say about the changes. That investors can affect every aspect of our Bimbo world. That Miss Bimbo and Bimboland, symbolically, have died. That such a shity name was chosen. It makes us furious. It makes us depressed. It makes us underestimated. Period.

Well, anyone who was around Toki while she was PB and Dye in last couple of months can confirm they did not agree with ximbo affair.
There was a thread with suggestions for a new domain name, but there was never a poll. Apparently these suggestions were not even considered, not sure why the thread was there in the first place if it meant nothing.
Personally I don't mind new name, don't like it but still can live with it. Can't bother with overthinking it. I love the game and for me it will always be BL and my doll will be bimbo. I don't even mind making some changes and decisions without consulting players. Other games don't do it either. Marketplace owners also don't consult their customers whether or not they agree with changing name, even less for suggestions, they don't ask customers what products they want to see or what to put on which shelf. So discussion about why userbase wasn't consulted is kinda pointless. But what bugs me is why involving current and previous PB into this when they didn't agree nor they have had a say in it? Why talking about the poll which does not exist? Why asking players for suggestions and pretending their suggestions mean something while they don't mean anything? Players who tried to come up with suggestions took it seriously and thought it matters something. It just isn't nice.

It would have been nice to get confirmation that this was happening and when, and especially we should have had some sort of say in it outside of a single thread in July.
I already shared my thoughts in July about this, but aside that I would say in particular "Ximboland" is probably one of the worst names that could have been chosen. I seriously doubt us complaining about it will do any good, since Chris hates listening to "Ximbo" citizens. I do hope we can return to Bimboland or at the very least have a poll where we can decide for ourselves what the new name will be.

Between lillyann and Larla 's responses is where I lay here. I completely understand running a business, as a business owner myself, Chris doesn't really owe the citizens or consumers of the product a heads up before a big change. He owns bimboland and making choices based on what's best for him money-wise makes sense. At the same time, I feel that this particular decision was a bit shortsighted. Changing all the branding would have been one thing, changing one letter, and not even doing a particularly good job of it (multiple parts of the site still say bimbo) is going to change exactly zero things. Advertisers are not going to look at a sparsely used 18+ bimbo website and think yeah! bounty paper towels, especially with statements like "Ximboland is one of the last remaining politically incorrect non woke places on the internet." Add onto that the amount of NSFW content in the forums and in every user's profile, in the shop items, etc etc etc. This site is not friendly to anyone but the people who want to and continue to want to use it. So what you're really saying, Chris, at the end of the day, is one particular advertiser told you to change the name to Ximbo and you having so few options jumped at the chance.
Why not embrace the 18+ aspect? Why not be extremely gender-positive? Bring new light to bimbo land as an accepting place to be. We could have taken the idea of "we need to be investor-friendly" and changed that into something that would also benefit the citizens AND attract new citizens. People need fun places to make adult friends in niche communities like this, why not open the door instead of closing it more?
