Maybe the seasonal theme doesn't always have to be in the same season as the person who is playing. They could be outits not restricted only to the season most people are in. For example one could dress up for Christmas in July or Easter in September, it's up to the player.

About the slots, i agree we need more slots at least 1 free slot to experiment something different. About the categories i would like something like a Freestyle category.

But it would be ok to wear "casual" looks as well that fit for season/holiday going on that certain time. And I think many would like this idea, because it gives a good opportunity to show more of your style.

I agree that we should have more outfit slots. Currently we have 14 categories so we need 14 slots for that + slots to experiment and show other outfits. So I'm thinking 20 slots here. And IF we get more categories in the future then let's say about 5 slots extra for experimenting and such. So 20 categories would mean 25 outfit slots. But those are just suggestions.
As for the categories, yes, it has become quite boring to see the same categories with basically everyone wearing the same all the time. I think changing categories every season should be doable. And they don't have to be fitting for the season as far as I am concerned. If you want to show a christmas outfit in the summer then why not, for example. And we should consider that when it's summertime in Europe and the USA, it is winter time in Australia for example. I was already thinking of that when Toki brought up the idea of this thread with me.
I also agree that date and romantic should be one category not 2. Same with movie character/cosplay, they're basically the same thing. Every idea for a new category that I can come up with has already been mentioned, so no need to repeat them.
(I wonder whop the 2 people are who don't need more outfit slots. Could you share us your thoughts why you think so?)
