I love drawing, but kinda lost my passion for painting while in college, it got kinda repetitive and burn out is real deal. I love drawing oc's n stuff, also love portraits. Lowkey am jealous of people who can manage colors cuz I'm a little bland when it comes to it, but I'm learning! :)

I'm a self taught artist and I've drawn all my life so its super important to me. I like to maintain and improve my skills by doing observation drawings- especially really tricky things like glass or crystals, I like to be mean and push myself as far as I can lol-as well as doing copies of the masters drawings like Leonardo da Vinci etc. Happy to put some here if I can, recommend interesting artists and give tips to anyone? I usually draw fantasy stuff for fun and I love surrealism/symbolism in art, as well as visionary art which is pretty cool!
I know I'm skilled but it stresses me out cus I don't have a style of my own yet and people expect I do...I struggle with the fact that to help develop style, looking at other artists for inspo is important, as I don't want my own work to end up as just a product of all the artists I like summed up into one? Or maybe that's just a dumb idea that the mainstream art world has given me. Right now I'm really enjoying abstract expressionism and raw art or 'art brut'/outsider art- just being free, drawing whatever without thinking about it-I'm a perfectionist so its freeing not bothering with stuff much sometimes! Also looking into street/graffiti art and 80s/90s manga styles!

I got a degree in art with a focus on drawing, and I used to draw every single day, but recently I've been going months without drawing anything. It's kinda sad to feel like I'm letting that creativity go, but it's also a nice break for me to explore other things I like and am good at. I'm still being creative, just in other ways. Plus it's nice to figure out I have other stuff to enjoy & be proud of after thinking drawing was my one single talent for so long.
I'm not so much a painter, but I watercolor my drawings every once in a while and have fun doing that!
i enjoy being well rounded as far as art goes so i like to learn a lot of different mediums, but i will always be partial to drawing. i CAN paint traditionally and i like using watercolours to a decent degree, but i prefer sketching and digital art. i find it's hard to get my style across painting and i end up doing realism when i paint and more stylized drawings sketching and digitally.
I sketch traditionally but color digitally. You just can't beat traditional sketching imo. Recently I've been trying to draw female pin-ups. Usually I focus on drawing guys because I'm like super gay but I admire hot women so I've been getting into that.
