I remember a rather bizarre dream I had whilst at Uni. It wasn’t lucid just stupid. I’d gone to my PA to complain about one of the cleaning staff, because they had mopped the floor of the lecture hall with soda pop, when suddenly the filing cabinet in the corner comes to life and chases us out of the sky light in her office (we had to stack her chair on top of her desk and climb up and out). Then I started to jump from rooftop to rooftop and the buildings were really far apart from each other, but it was OK because I was a part of the pixie anti-terrorism squad, so I could jump like a flee. It ended where I beat up a suspect terrorist wearing a suit made of flower petals with a summer squash I found in my coat pocket…. Yeah, someone want to try and analyse that one?

If you want some help recalling dreams/having lucid dreams, there are mediation techniques that work. Setting an intention before sleep. Keeping a dream journal. etc.

There is also a tea used by Shaman in central America (as well as other areas of the world, though depending on what culture you look at the herbs vary). The one I've tried is made with "Dream Herb", "Leaf of God", "bitter Grass"... you grind it up and steep it (you can also smoke it but its awful smoked!). Drink it throughout the evening and a cup right before bed. It's supposed to help relax you and induce lucid dreaming. It is also believed to aid in dream recall. The plant is relatively cheap to purchase, it is legal in Canada but I would recommend checking the legality in your country if its something any of you are interested in. It tastes awful! You cannot make it sweet regardless of how much suger, honey, agave, stevia, etc you put in it. It is very bitter (theres a reason its called bitter grass lol). It does work though, definitely has an effect on the dream state.

Hmmm sounds like a plan. I wouldn't mind recalling dreams I've had and triggering another lucid dream would be something I am up for. I think I'd struggle to keep a dream journal simply because my dreams don't stay in my memory long enough. Occasionally I'll remember them but usually about a fortnight maybe even a month later. I'd have to drink the tea recall the dream write it down then repeat for all other dreams I have, it would be a very long winded process. I've tried writing down dreams I've had just after waking up, but I'm normally still half asleep and I just write total nonsense. Once I thought I'd dreamt the answer to our existence and I excitedly wrote it down before going back to sleep. I looked at it in the morning and it said 'Two birds in the pipe line, the fate is on the trolly.'... (¬_¬)

Sounds like some sort of cryptic message from the other side, some sort of prophecy or channeling ;)

Ever thought of downloading a sleep talk app? Theres some free ones out there that only record if you end up talking at any point during your dream state...

I've had lucid dreams before too - They can be quite cool, but sometimes can be pretty stressful when you become aware that you're stuck inside a dream.

I had a dream the other night in which I was in a car driving back home. It was dark and the driver went down the wrong cul-de-sac (the one just before my own) and we had to turn around. At the dead end of the little road was the grim reaper. I kept saying I'd seen him, but no one else had. When we were driving back out of that road, a whole load of boy scouts were blocking it completely... For some reason I didn't make it home, but the next thing I can remember is being on a very busy and deserted road by myself at dawn. I heard a baby crying, and what I thought was a wolf. I was so scared because I thought the wolf was trying to kill the baby, torn between running away or trying to save this child. I heard a rustling in the bushes and trees by the side of the road and just completely froze in fear. A bear came out, and it became clear to me that she was some kind of mother, trying to take care of the baby. And then I realised I was the wolf. Weird.

Ooooo chilling dream Bambi. I've had it a few times that I knew I was dreaming, but couldn't tell anyone in my dream and then I was trapped there, and the only way out was to fall down a steep staircase, so I could wake up before hitting the bottom. They are quite scary actually, you feel very powerless within your own mind.

I've had lucid dreams where I'm trying to get somewhere, but whenever I try to run it feels like when you try to run through water (like wading through the sea) and you can't get anywhere very fast because the water is heavy around your legs.

That is a pretty odd dream.. most of my dreams are pretty weird and i don't always have that nice of a dream but when i actually have a dream that i like then suddenly wake up to some noise i just can't leave my dream without an ending , so basically i manipulate my dream to my liking :)
