thrifting is 1000% better but i hate the ppl who thrift and resell their finds with such a high mark up. i think often times people tend to forget that a lot of people thrift out of necessity and thrifting is one of their only ways of being able to get clothes

i live in uk so i have charity shops rather than thrift stores. they arent as good but i love them anyway even when stuff doesnt fit (which is a lot) i love altering pieces and sm times use it as a source of cheap fabric for sewing

thrifting all the way when i can, though i'm from ireland and we have charity shops rather than thrift stores, which always mark up the prices of all clothing no matter how unremarkable or undesirable x,) many try to label themselves as ~retro~ and ~vintage~ but when i paw thru the shirts rack i always find some sort of fortnite shirt or something lol!! if i can't find clothes from charity stores despite all the chances i give them then i just make do wit what i have till i can afford to spend on individual pieces :))

but at this point if yer able to afford ethical fashion, continuing 2 b proud about shopping shein, zara, amazon etc. is sorta :-/ .... n i'm the most radical person i know when it comes to accepting & lovin all fashions and wardrobes!! in my view at least it just screams materialism and unoriginality ....... and 2 me, indicates a lack of critical thought in relation to things like purchase frequency, purchase purpose, item permanence & lifespan, inspirations & influences, wardrobe curation, and one's artistic / stylistic / individual development .... tho i don't mean 2 b a hater lol!!!

every1s situation is different so i won't immediately judge people 4 wearin what they wear or try 2 figure out why they wear what they do .... but sometimes you know people well enough to know that they could just as well thrift & shop normally instead of doing fast fashion hauls every 2nd week ...! x))

thrifting! I love how it's a little treasure hunt. I found some absolute gems because of it.

thrifting definitely but thrift stores have become so cycincal it makes me sad for the people who actually don't have enough money for other clothing stores. like ever since thrifting got popular, some thrift stores have special sections where everything is more expensive because they're brand names or trendy clothes, which is so annoying. not only for me but especially for low income families who rely on those stores for good quality clothes. i also have a hot take when it comes to fast fashion, sometimes it's okay. i am not talking about the shein girlies who spend like 1000$ a week on clothes  they'll never wear after their haul video but more like plus size people who already have very little options and other people who need some clothes but have no access to thrift stores and no money for sustainable fashion brands.

thrifting! it's so much more sustainable and the happiness and satisfaction of finding amazing pieces is just insane, fast fashion stores could never match up to thrift stores in that area.
