It's been a while since I've read my favorite, but I love Warm Bodies by Isaac Marion. Of course, I watched the movie first and thought that was decent enough on its own. The book was quite a bit more sarcastic and dark, and some of the little plot points they left out of the movie were very interesting to read.I recently purchased the sequel and the prequel - so I'm excited to read those and see if they're equally good.[/endquote]
I have also noticed how movie's never really accurately portray what is actually written into a novel....
My case in point would be the series of novels called , A Series of Unfortunate Event's
The Movie was OK, but I read all 13 book's before I saw the movie,   and it was as IF the entire movie was an ENTIRELY DIFFERENT STORY, than told in the actual story told by an author.   It was fun to see what I had envisioned the setting of the Story and the art director's did a wonderful JOB at animating the movie,   but the Story-line written for the movie was only 1% of the Whole story told in the Books.

A Series of Unfortunate Event's, is by far my most favorite book in the 'For Fun-reading list'.
The use of the English language,  and pure absurdity of the story, made me read all 13 book's within 2 weeks.
In fact,  I only read them because my child came home from school one day with the first book,  and told me that the teacher made him pick a book, to take home from the library. He had no intention of reading it, so he just grabbed a random book off of the shelf.   This angered me, and as a punishment, I started to just read the book, too him.

I was HOOKED within 5 page's, and released my child to PLAY,   and just read them to myself, because  I HAD TO know the Ending !!!    and FAST !!!!

Every day for the next 2 week's I asked my son to bring home the NEXT Book from his school, for me.....
The teacher was shocked by his new, library behavior.  13 books checked out and all returned the next day.
I later told her that it was ME  that read the books, not him...   She just laughed, and commented that she thought he was just 'playing a trick', on her, and the reason for the parent-teacher conference.  She was actually impressed  that my son loved me enough, to check out book's for ME to read, from his school library. She had a reading contest in her class, and was using the library records to chart the student's progress.   I admitted to being the actual reader of the book's and my son did not win the prize, in class.   That was totally fair.   I didn't know about the contest, my son never told me about it.

That son of mine, went on to graduate, with perfect score's.
He never read the book's, but obviously he was to busy with studying, while I was busy reading for the sheer pleasure of it.
It was a beautiful Punishment, only a mother could enjoy, doing.  [????]   Absurd?, but accurate.
I just love 'irony', in stories, and the fact that I would have never had read the book's, if my son didn't misbehave that day.  It was a series of unfortunate event's, that gave me so much pleasure.
So much so   I bought all 13 books in hardcover, as a Christmas present to myself.
PS,  As NEW,  the 'hard-covered' books are artificially AGED to look like they are old and tattered.
                                                                   Totally  BRILLIANT !!!!!

These are the type's of book's that even feel good to just hold in your hand's......
Even the page's are 'rough-cut, and uneven.....  Turning even a single page was difficult, but part of the experience, for the reader.   I've never read a book like that before,  and I don't expect to ever see/read anything quite like them again.   The reader is physically drawn into the narrative, page by page.
                                                           That is Impressive, To me.

So many!
But all time fav trophy will go to Lord of the rings and ye olde, bit cringy Harry Potter. I`ve read LOTR when i was 9 and same time I started my journey into HP world and both of the books turned me into a bookworm. That`s the reason why I`d say those are my fav ;)

Seriously cried a river when Snape died :/

For "Book-worm's and geek's,"  Your book report's are Useless to reader's.
   I give your TEACHER'S a FAILING GRADE.
   Piff.............................
Is a list,   the best YOU can DO ?????

I had hoped to actually Read something,  in this thread.............
                                                    My BAD   :(
An unfortunate Event of a failed EDUCATION,  that is totally disappointing to me.
Your teacher's, FAILED YOU !!!   Twitter/facebook/ snapchat....... is a crying 'Shame' for your generation.

At least you read a BOOK, even if you are unable to 'Write about a Book' from your perspective.
      It's a Start ................
            But I can honestly say :   My grandchild of just 4 year's old, talks better than the Bimbo's in the forum about the books I read to HIM.........   He screamed at me, tonight;
because I sang a song about a school bus....   but I changed the words a little bit,   and he caught it......    instead of the word 'Bus', in the song,  I used the word 'car'......  because that was the toy he was playing with at the time...........
   The wheels on the Bus
 goes round and round,
 round and round,
 round and round.
all through the day......................
Zane, my grandson, ran to the 'toy box,'  and Got a BUS to play with....... to make me happy and PROVE me WRONG.
He is not being taught, to be STUPID,

@HeavenLeighBimbo
You have to read the start of this thread:
"Hello, fellow bimbos! I was wondering today: what are some of your favorite books?..."
So...a list or only 1 book is totally ok!
The question was not "why?"....it was "what"...and knowing the difference...this is education!
it is like in school...if the teacher asked you...what is 3+3...and you come with some stuff about Kafka....he or she would just smile and say..."you are so cute...but you totally failed the task"
It is mostly useless to talk about something you like...because all people have a different taste! You can write 10.000 words about 1 book you like...if the book is for me boring...all those 10.000 words are useless. It is like music or a movie...many people could like it....write a psychological novel about it...sometimes it is just simple Shit for yourself:)
Simple
example: Antzy Del Castillo could write a whole page about Lord of the Rings...fine:) would not interest me a second...because this theme and the books do not interest me so much:)
Besides...
i am pretty sure your grandchild of 4 years does not talk pretty smart about books....it would be some genius then:)
