NightwishFloor is amazing. I think she's the best lead singer Nightwish has had. I liked Tarja well enough, and a couple of their songs with Anette were good. But Floor? Holy mother of pearl, I'm not sure anyone can compare.
I'm in love with Floor's voice, she literally makes me cry, because I can't handle how beautiful her voice is

so, when i was small [pls read as 'formative'] girl, i tried to mainly listen to lady/girl/female/women artists because it's ..just that much fucking harder for women in every industry. but admittedly, when i was small, i did lean more toward screamy and angry. because, well, i was a screamy and angry girl. -- admittedly, i am still these things, but it's kind of muted into a dull and irritated apathy, it's hard to be angry when it takes up so very much of you. but my favorites, while they aren't very 'varied', i feel are still pretty important in the by and large.

and a serious plethora of others. i'm kind of sad i don't have more off the top of my head, but honestly, it's just a lot of pointing and wishing i had my CDs with me. that being said, i'd be remiss to not acknowledge the big-big place that jack off jill and scarling. had in my heart and in my life for the longest time, but as i've gotten older - and jessicka has become more vocal, i just.. i can't do it anymore, you know? it's sad to put something so personal and important in a lock box, and i'm even more sad that i'm never ever going to get to hear their versions of 'american girl' or 'my name is luca' (taped shows were just not all that plentiful, apparently) - but that doesn't take back the hours and years they scored in my life. if i had to pick some favorites, i'd probably.. go.. with most of covetous creature, honestly. that EP never got the attention it should have, tbh. and as for scarling. crispin glover and the art of pretension, but the bandaid covers the bullet hole is also quite lovely.
