We definitely have a gorgeous playerbase here but we also have few rotten apples in the basket. And clueless people who just joined may vote for these people.
Just consider raising the level limit, it's lower than what people have to be to enter PBFC contest.

The problem here is that when there's an influx of new players right before an election they can really screw with the results because the level to allow voting is too low. Just like what happened with this last SM election. Sure the voting may have happened fairly, but all these new players definitely weren't on the site for long enough to really get to know the site and the players. A lot of people also join this site as a joke because "haha funny bimbo site", and when they see someone acting unhinged or also treating this place as a joke run for a position of power all they'll think is "haha funny person" and hit vote without being aware of the consequences, I can say with full guarantee that a lot of the new players who voted during the last SM election aren't even playing anymore because they never took this site seriously.

You have to be level 18 to submit items to the shops, which will also undergo a quality control and a voting process from the shop workers, I can't phantom why there is more security for the process of submitting items to the shops than there is for the elections. Making the level for voting in elections level 18 will give players plenty of time to get to know the site and players, and ensure that they're dedicated players who won't treat this place like a joke.

It will take around 2 weeks for someone to get to level 18 if they're grinding hardcore (without investing real money), by that time players who never planned on taking this site seriously will have stopped playing and the real dedicated players that can be trusted to vote wisely will be staying.

do you realize atheista voted in a state minister who's program only said "i dont care about any of this im just here to start drama" this year? im sure you have great faith in this political system that you invented, but as someone who actually plays the game daily i am telling you that people on a joke website cant be expected to vote "reasonably" - you look naive insisting such, especially after lowering the age to play

not to mention there is no way to actually verify the age of players signing up. i have seen several people who are very obviously under the age of 16 but are not banned for such because they just... dont tell people how old they are. or they lie when asked. what happens when a literal child becomes SM because they won over the hearts of their state with a joke?

Thanks for your trust though, it's very encouraging. I'll accept the permaban tool if the offer is still on the table. I honestly still would prefer TB to do it because they managed to ban people before but now it seems to be impossible task for some reason.
