Ok...so I was given a real dilemma here..I was contacted and apparently someone wants to purchase my house!  it is not on the market and the offer is way way more than I paid for it and i would assume well above market...I guess I need to verify what it is actually worth

Thing is that i love my house...I mean I really really like it...
I know the smart move is normally to sell it and giggle with the profit in this situation...but I cam contemplating not doing that...
BUT....the twist is that I am rarely there right not and 2017 is likely going to be even worse.  I am happy when I make it there 3 days a month...so it seems to really support moving it with a sweet offer on the table.
I have been there for since 2012 when everything bottomed out...the house is great...though admittedly a little large for me.  The location is awesome...I have a yard I fricken love and a view that is even better...I paid cash for it so debt is no concern...though I pay a lot for taxes for never being there lol

so torn :(

Only you can decide what price you are happy with. Tell them to put the offer in a proper contract and then when you have it in your hands you will have the power to think it over and decide yes or no.

Thanks....I declined the offer and in return they have upped the offer the almost triple market value lol 
well...about 2.5 times market value anyways

I am really torn...I was kinda intrigued when they offered the market value (by a fair bit)...but it is getting hard to say no to this new offer.  I said I wasn't making any decisions until I got home which I am hoping will be later this week

I mean...i don't need the money but it is a lot of fricken money

  My home is "Spooky" !!!!!!!
   The 'TAX-Man' only see's rooms and square footage. 
    Value is low, because of location.
   Value is high due to privacy and a hostile location towards certain political leaning's.
  I find it very funny to me, to value my home in term's of my neighborhood's value to me.
     Neighborhoods in term's of mile's per HOUSE.
   The people are just that AMUSING, Kind and 'FAIR game to laugh at"......
    Good fences do make for good neighbor's.

         I wouldn't sell a home that I enjoy.
  Because it is LIFE.

well...I don't normally pay Realtor fees on personal buys...only business ones.  Mine I just put through myself. 

Pretty sure I am going to sell...it is just too much money to pass up on....i have done some digging and there are a few that I like in the area that are on the beach as well.  I just dropped a line to someone to do some double checking on tax implications...I think it gets a little complicated because some of it is considered business related.  i have had a pretty good year and I need to be careful with earnings depending on how those go with this...I would imagine they will be open to waiting until the new year so i am not super worried in that regard...gives me time to do something with the numbers over the year.  I was eyeballing one house that has a pool on the second level going out the master so I have some interest in that...and there are a couple very close to me as well and I would be making a killing flipping like that.  

I mean if it was 20 or 30% i shrug it off easy enough...but this is a pretty large sum of money and with the profit there is very little that I couldn't purchase instead.

Have you ever watched this "Open House" show? I just sit there in awe of these 10 million dollar homes. :p

Personally I'd take the money. It doesn't sound like a sentimental type house, like one you grew up in. If you barely spend time there you could get something real cheap, save the money then get a good house when you settle down.

My house is fairly nice :)...and while I love it if don't have massive sentimental attachment to it...though my cat loves it lol. Not sure the cat needs that much space though haha Maybe I'll sent some pics later...the view over the water is sweet
