actually going to revive this thread a bit and ask a homestuck related question because it's fun and i don't think it's off-topic:
if you could rewrite some of the comic, what would you do?
personally i have a lot of ideas for a post-cascade rewrite but i think the main thing would be not only never revive vriska, but have alpha timeline vriska lose the fight for narrative spotlight and have the doomed jack-kills-everyone timeline vriska instead. i think a vriska who got a chance to try and failed, who had to reckon with the direct consequences of her actions, would actually go through the character growth required to stop thinking about herself and start thinking about other people and really make a difference. i also think it would be a cool way to integrate the dream bubble doomed timeline aspect more significantly into the story instead of how it kinda defaulted to in the comic. in all honesty i think what makes vriska as a character successful is that she dies.
as i said i have a lot of other ideas but that's probably the most significant change i'd do.

It's difficult to say how I would try fix homestuck it's been a while since I read and also because so many of it's best features are the reason why I think it had a difficult time wrapping up well, like how there really arguably wasn't a main character, or the way most major conflict events were skipped over, and I think of solutions and just end up thinking about all the moments I would be erasing that I love. It's a tough question but super interesting
