You say that nobody knows me, that my responses are weak, and that my perspective doesn't carry much weight because I'm new.
That's perfectly fine. You're entitled to your opinion, just as I'm entitled to mine. If you read my original post, I did cover I am new.
What I do find interesting, however, is that throughout this discussion I've been called dramatic, hypocritical, weak, and a number of other things. I've also seen insults directed at other people participating in the thread.
The reason I mention this is because it relates directly to one of the points I raised in my farewell post.
If people in leadership positions, moderation roles (Which Fashion Police is right?), or positions of authority represent the community, then I personally believe they should strive to be welcoming, patient, professional, and open to criticism, even when they strongly disagree with it.
You may disagree with my review, and that's completely okay. But I don't believe disagreement requires hostility.
Throughout this thread I've done my best to remain civil, and I've never felt the need to return personal insults.
So yes, in some ways I do think this discussion has reinforced part of the point I was originally trying to make.
Either way, I wish you well. And I hope you find peace in your life at some point.
