6.99 pounds is about ~$12 CAD. Cheapest netflix plan here is $6.99 CAD. Was just making the comparison.
When I mentioned volatility, I wasn't just thinking about banning.
By volatility I was also thinking about the inconsistencies in the overall vibe of the site. Whether due to the current PH staff, or the types of players playing, I can have wholly different experiences on BL. For example, are players following me onto forum topics that aren't relevant to them, and quoting my posts even though I blocked them?

I will def buy senator again once duels are fixed. I think the perks overall for senators are really helpful and alluring! However not being able to earn diamonds as easily or complete daily tasks that require duels right now is my main hinderance and I'd like to know other unbanned citizens that cant afford senator have easy access to diamonds before I pay.
