I remember seeing htat one in the msot perfect context, which was a night long festival where it was the last movie on the program, which meant they played it starting 4am, so even by napping through the middle programs, I still had exhaustion delirium throughout so when they started doing the musical segment I was just bursting to tears laughing, when they just keep all joining in.....i was going insane fr. i had wanted to see it so bad before then too so this truly was one my mist satisfying movie experiences.. saw it again not too long ago, n it still was as fun as i recalled, i do love that movie fr

For movies from other directors cuz once again there's not just these few lads in here and i contain multitude, the Bad Genius movie (it had a show remake not long ago, hated it they jsut went on n added more straight drama, who needed that? no one. wake up. ur main girl's a lesbian), Dear Ex, The Merciless, The Fall (2006), Antique, Guns&Talks, Jawbreaker, After Life, Lost and Found (1996) (if ur a takeshi enthusiast, that one's real great...his character there is....yea....yea....manic pixie dream boy era man...), Blade, One Cut of the Dead (its so special to me, so dumb so fun, so cheap but so full of heart i cant explain my very special love for this little dumb movie...), Lola Rennt (was obsessed with it at 14, now more or less 10 years later im circling back to it...), Tampopo, Linda Linda Linda, The Favourite, Confessions of a Shopaholic (one my most favest romcom its just so...so much...), Tokyo Drifter, and most recently I caught Sorry to Bother You and well I was already half sick that day so it may have helped with it but that shit made me so hysterical...
also cuz i study animation ig i Have to namedrop some animated movies [rolls my eyes] ugh fiiine i'm a sucker for Night is Short Walk on Girl, n Ruben Brandt collector has been the most recent case of movie that reminded me that maybe i hadnt made a mistake in picking my major cuz they do still make cool movies that dont look boring and arent afraid to do something different stylewise after all..........Also the first Spongebob Squarepants movie legit invented cinema, had to show it to a friend who missed out on it cuz her parents were the kind of bitches who thought spongebob made kids dumb n it reminded me that rly that shit went hard. also her reactions of "wait that stuff's scary tho kids watch that?" got me to reevaluate that damn, right, that is technically some scary shit huh.... i guess..... mentally stronger thanks to that franchise ig cuz it never hit me before her outsider perspective.
I gotta be forgettin lots of things... these r just the ones that are in my thoughts atm...
Also anyone who disagrees that the Lego Movie is a masterpiece knows nothing. Speak the truth!!!! Its a fuckin masterpiece!!!

I became a A24 stan but I don't have any knowledge of the classics to back that up with, do any of you guys know what movies are good if you like.. really enjoyed the Lighthouse, the Green Knight, Midsommar, that kind of thing?
Under The Skin, Annihilation, Suspiria (2018.), The VVitch, The Eyes of My Mother, The Wailing, Climax, Black Swan, mother!, Upstream Color, Hereditary, Lamb, Picnic at Hanging Rock, Possession, High Life, a lot of Lynch movies, especially Fire Walk With Me (need to watch the show first for that one) might be movies you would like then. Some of them are also from A24, so maybe you've seen them already.

I saw Annihilation, The VVitch, Black Swan and Heriditary and I love them all so I have a good feeling about the rest of that list, thankss they're definitely going on my to watch list
also, seems like there are a bunch of movies called Climax, which one do you mean?
Climax from 2018 by Gaspar Noe. I'm not 100% sure how I feel about that one or his other movies so I'll have to rewatch them to decide, but Climax definitely has that A24 vibe so it's worth checking out. Also The Love Witch and Ex Machina have less of that horrory thing going on than the rest, but are as stylish and as intelligent as A24 movies usually are so they might be worth checking out as well. Ex Machina is by the same director who directed Annihilation and it's amazing and The Love Witch is by a female director which is what I always love to see as directing is one of the professions where women rarely get the same opportunities and seem to me get criticized more harshly than male directors. How someone like Sofia Coppola has so many haters, I'll never know, but I always thought she would be a lot more beloved if her movies were less feminine.
