I've been a member for five years and have only seen any sort of fight break out maybe twice. It's a really cool site with lots of features, daily challenges, guilds, HUGE events (especially over on the forums), and literally dozens of diverse and unique doll poses with tens of thousands of clothing options between them. Members can even upload their own designs to sell in their shops, and many do! There's some amazing fashion design talent over there. It's a big part of what makes DC so unique and I highly recommend it.morguegirl wrote:Ok listen, not to ageist or anything (this is irony, for those who missed it. Ageism is not a real thing you cannot experience systematic discrimination based on your age, boomers...) but are you saying that old people are capable of being civil? Because after my ride on this site? That would be a pleasant but hard to believe surprise.stardoll sucks! i'm trying to fix my doll's face but the conditions are horribletry DivaChix <3 it's mostly targeted at an older demographic (majority of members are in their 40s-60s, lots in their late teens to early thirties too though) but no drama, 100% ftp, and super easy to get started. let me know if you decide to make an account and I'll be happy to show you around the site!

Lmk if/when you make an account so I can add you and maybe send over some gifts to get you started ^_^ DC has been around since like 2008 but the owner literally just completely revamped all the aesthetics of the site like three days ago so it looks super fresh and modern now. I can give you some tips on the basics and we can learn the mechanics of the "new" site together lmaomorguegirl wrote:thanks for the recommendation!!! i'll create an account later. i'm totally obsessed with dress up games jfsdjsfkfstardoll sucks! i'm trying to fix my doll's face but the conditions are horribletry DivaChix <3 it's mostly targeted at an older demographic (majority of members are in their 40s-60s, lots in their late teens to early thirties too though) but no drama, 100% ftp, and super easy to get started. let me know if you decide to make an account and I'll be happy to show you around the site!

I barely talk about this because it's an uncomfortable subject butI'm not going to pry about your designated-at-birth sex or anything 'cause that's creepy and invasive but a lot of gender nonconforming people I've encountered (myself included) can feel uncomfortable expressing femininity because of the cisheteronormative misogyny that's been drilled into our psyches from birth - this mindset seems to be especially, though certainly not exclusively, present AFABs. In a patriarchal society riddled with toxic masculinity anything imbued with feminine energy is going to be viewed as weaker, less-than, and generally inferior by default. It's not uncommon at all for women, femmes, and AFAB people to therefore be inherently ashamed/avoidant of their femininity, especially if they are already marginalized by having a queer identity. Not making assumptions about you individually by any means, just my take on this general concept from past discussions with other gender nonconforming people, and as an AFAB, androgynous (but still occasionally femme leaning), nonbinary person who's on an identity journey of their own.
I really don't know what gender is anymore. I know I'm a woman, but that's just because I feel I am one. I literally feel no connection to femininity at all and prefer compliments associated with gender neutrality or masculinity than, y'now, femininity.
I don't know where I'm going with this, all I know is that it's something I constantly think about but avoid talking about here because I'm so calloused from online interactions that I prefer being perceived as male to avoid harassment (which is something I've been doing for roughly a year by now on Steam, because at least they'll offend me for my gameplay, not for being a woman).
Anyway I made this himbo to be a mirror version of me irl, he's preppy and colorful and doesn't mind femininity while I'm a nerd who tries to be punk and monochrome who's only comfortable being masculine
