Onto my addition to the thread, maybe a slight vent post or something, but I need to get it fully off my chest. Context tiiime. I used to be really good friends with a guy. He used to date this one girl, who was extremely jealous and restricted his friend group - which meant that I'd get blocked... twice. I reached out each time, helped him through the break-up once it happened. I want to state that I NEVER harboured any romantic love towards him. If anything, I loved him like he was my brother - and we acted like siblings. I was in relationships while getting blocked and I'm no cheater. The next girlfriend (which btw, I'm not implying mentally ill women don't deserve love. I'm one of them.But I also feel like they need help rather than to get reinforced in their beliefs?) was the same, despite him swearing he'll never get into that typeof relationship again. I tried to be friends with her, I met her. I allowed him to sleep over at my place just so he can see her. I got into a bad state mentally and idk - maybe reached out to help from him too much. He was my closest friend who knew all my issues. His messages became scarce, until he just wiped me from his life and buried the traces. Blocked me everywhere, even deleted his discord. I was not the only victim of this - as other - even distant female friends who he barely interacted with got the boot as well. It was like 2 years ago maybe. Context over. Within those 2 years, I sometimes dreamt of meeting him again. I told myself that all I feel is anger, but I doubt that's the case. Today I woke up from one of those and I'm just done. I messaged him on an unknown alt and well, I'm waiting for a block or response. I keep looking over if he at least read the message. I don't honestly - know if he's alive even - he scrubbed his profile clean and he was not mentally sound as well. But if he's there... I don't know what kind of response I'm expecting. I don't know if there's a possibility of reconnecting, but I want some closure, at least. I want the subconsious torment to be over. I don't know if I'm doing the right thing or if I should of lft him alone, but I'm just idk... looking out for myself

@califlower I've had kinda similar situations and I found this SO painfully relatable. I really really hope that you are able to find the closure you need. It sounds like it was a confusing and messy situation, and you deserve to be able to heal ;-; I also think since it's been a couple years, it's not unreasonable that you reached out to see if anything has changed.
