this but with any sort of media rly, streaming platforms brainwashed peeps into forgetting piracy exists it seems but like everytime someone goes 'i have to pay [platform owned by the shittiest corporation possible (cough, disney, im talkin bout disney+/hulu whatev)] to get [show/movie]" im like. literally no u dont lmao?
also for anime i use anime twist (twist dot moe) cuz somehow it manages to have literally anything i searched up so far, no matter how weirdly obscure? which is so funny considering what the website looks like everytime it takes me by surprise

my problem with a lot of these people is how i've seen their argument escalate from "well i have to buy a subscription to see this anime/show :/" to just... shilling for said terrible company (if that's the correct word)? i promise you -- many of these companies (disney, netflix, hulu, etc.) do not care about you or if some random internet user finds a way to watch a low quality version of their streaming show for free on some spam ad website.
i think the fact it's possible for me to find blu-ray and/or high quality rips of anything i need on the torrent sites i frequently visit is also very funny. i found a high quality, logo-less rip of a very obscure anime of a very obscure manga from the early 2000s that i just wanted for some icons. to think someone said i should use crunchyroll for it, lol.

dang this, ppl so quickly became corporation bootlickers, like it went from 'this service isnt too expensive and provides many shows in one place so its convenient if you have the means" to "if u dont pay for these 392929 streaming services that are creating one more constraint on show makers by becoming the only places to watch things thus being able to inforce their production standards and conduct censorship on media 'or else you wont be released on this platform', you are literally evil like why would u nOT want ot support those showmakers"
and like i must say, that flawed argument of "dont pay for the streaming platforms = no support to creators" is so wrong, esp in the fields of animation, and i can say that since im literally part of that field lmao, all actual artists on any animated media get paid before the release of the film, the profits go to the producers and big names, some studio may offer a bonus to workers if the film does well but its pretty dang rare. cant talk for sure on live action cuz it aint my domain but bet its the same dang thing
