So there is already a topic on sex (I think.) but what about love? What do you want in a significant other? If you're married, what do you love about your sppouse?

I believe there is two very separate emotions between love and sex.

Love...eludes me. I've always wanted to feel that feeling of butterflies in my stomach when I see my significant other. But the men who have given that to me have turned out to be very bad for me. So I take my solace in having sex. It's not a replacement, but it's how I deal.

My love life isn't easy. I've been dating my boyfriend for 2 years but in all honesty, this relationship hasn't been easy most of the time. He has major self-esteem issues, has been severely depressed most of his life, and refuses to get help. I have depression too, and we go to different colleges, so that's just even more strain on the relationship. His depression scares me.. Just this weekend he was saying that he can't ever be happy, and to just give up on him. I'm way too stubborn to give up on him though, I love him with everything I have. Even though things have been difficult between us for awhile, I want him in my life, I believe that we can get past this and get us both in a better place. I really hope I'm right. Sorry this got a bit too heavy, sometimes I just need to let it out.

Love is something I feel strongly about. If you truly love someone you'd be will to do anything for them and never give up on them in hard times. My husband gave up when things got hard. So what I now look for is someone willing to work on problems without giving up. Life gets hard, if you can stay positive through anything... That's what I want in s mate. I want someone I can grow old with, someone I love so much that we are with eachother until the end of our days :)
What's hard though, is realize the person you loved didn't love you back and then knowing you lost 2 years of life with someone who didn't deserve you. But that's what love does, it opens you up to a lot of pain and suffering. But it also opens you up to something beautiful. Sharing your life with someone else is the best thing we can experience as human beings. Or at least one of the best things. I truly hope love finds me again.
Love is weird because it's not something physical but it is at the same time. It something psychological, but you can still physically feel it.
Love is something that make you feel crazy and your eyes blind. When you are in love, you will do anything for it, but when you are broken heart you will regret for anything you do and you will think that you are fuckin stupid and why you do that for love? It's so complicated.
