Whelp. So yesterday I went to my first party, an actual party with alcohol and no one celebrating their birthday. It was an opportunity to meet all the new students and get to know some of the ones in my class too which I thought was great! Well.. not really but I needed to try and make some friends xD

I got there and stood there awkwardly, I really am not one for jumping into conversations. Eventually I ended up talking to this one person, they were really great! And got so so drunk. I stayed sober the whole evening because I didn't have any money to afford alcohol so I just followed and was dragged around by them for the evening, which was great because I got to meet everyone. No literally, everyone. At least 5 times each person pfft! It was nice saying hello to everyone. I got misgendered a few times, my new friend noticed that and decided to start introducing me and saying 'he' as they did to help people get the picture - which was so sweet! As they got drunker I recieved SO many hugs and got told I was handsome by them at least 4 times! Someone I used to know showed up and called me by my birthname which hurt, a lot. I went off to grab my phone and when I got back I found out they went up to him and explained that I go by Rem etc etc. They really were looking out for me.

And then someone broke the ping pong table and we all were kicked out. Everything went downhill from there.

I started taking them home then their boyfriend had wandered off without them. Which was awkward. They called him and he was so shitfaced he could barely talk back making it really hard for them. They started to cry and got really upset, I tried my best to keep it together with them till their boyfriend showed up, which eventually he did. Then they started to have an emotional breakdown while he was too drunk to care or understand why they were upset and kept trying to walk off and said offhand slightly rude comments. They got so upset we couldnt move them, they were screaming in the street in complete emotional pain and I had no idea what to do, because every time I comforted them he started to walk off - which made them even more upset! It took me from 10:30pm to 1:45am to get them both home and as soon as I dropped them off and left I had a complete emotional breakdown from all the stress and keeping things together to make sure they don't feel any worse when I was with them. I got home and found out my housemate had eaten my pizza leaving me with no food left and I just could not deal with anything. I ended up calling my parents and talking to my dad till I was emotionally stable again then went to bed.

That was a long night. I'm not sure I'm one for parties!

thats the thing with drinking and parties, there's always a few people that get emotionally unstable and fight or cry. I've blacked out a few times myself, not aware at all. Talking one moment then boom out like a light. I'm not a big drinker either, but was stupid a few times. Other than that parties are great for meeting new people and making friends :)

I used to go to parties  and was always the designated driver since I dont drink but always felt uncomfortable in large crowds .it seemed like there were always a few who would get either sloppy drunk or overly emotional. Im sorry you had such a bad experience. I hope things go better at your next party.

Why do I remember such parties so vividly ?

Some times no matter what you do you can't keep up with drunks.  They are really funny when you are in control.
Lose it at a party and it very quickly can become a disaster in the making.
What ever is a bimbo to do??????????

What do you do as a lesbian, lusting after another woman's uterus.
  Awkward!!!!!
I justify it by saying men stink.    It isn't really true, but I like what I like.

I'm , glad that you as Remi is being who you are.  Social perfection is damned.
A party is a party,,,,  You are special to both your parents, and the people who know how you think and feel.

That is what is beautiful about you.

I'm not even sure which story would be my first party fail?
They are so numerous and so embarrassing.
There is always a first time for everything.
So Party on, and get it right eventually.

My first party was a disaster too.  It was supposed to be just six people. 3 heterosexual couples.  It didn't stay so simple though.  An Entire Neighborhood fell into the party spirit.  I ended up with a broken heart and little faith in humanity. I was 16, and every man who could see me, took a shot and played a poor line on me. I wanted to be a big girl wearing big girl panties too.  It became a mess of male testosterone seeking my panties. It was a lesson learned WELL.  I laughed and had fun, but I did lose some faith in some friends.    I hate to say this; but honesty often comes in the form of a drunk friend.  You can learn a lot just by listening.  I heard things that my maturity at age 16 wasn't quite ready for.  It made me very prissy with men.  (AND)
I feel no need to seek forgiveness for anything besides my social flaws.

Want to compare stories?
I'll just pick one from 1985.
It all began once upon a time when I owned a pirate radio station.  LOLROF
No Story there...  muhahahaaaaaaa  ; just word 0f mouth.
Trends to get me in trouble but it is also the spice of life.  Why be boringly common?
I sold my transmitter for what was to me a profit.   My first party ended up being my first transaction with serious money.    Not very legal, but  I was a wild child in the days when the internet didn't exist, Radio was the cell phone and I had the most powerful station possible.  I was paid well, for something I did for fun.  A party on the radio, the new owner didn't buy.  I just grew up and never gave it another thought, till now.

Ugh, Rem that sounds hideous. It's really tough to know what to do when your friends are drunk and they clearly need your help to get home or whatever, but they're rejecting it. I had a big drunken night out on Saturday and tried to call up my friend (the one I'm friends with who I slept with a few times during my second year of uni) but I didn't know he was way drunker than me at the time, so the whole phonecall was a terrible idea. I was trying to ask if he wanted to meet up in London next weekend, top sip multiple mojitos and tell me about how his life is going. Sadly his response when I started talking was to cut me off and be like "You listen to me now bitch... You bitch. You slut. You fucking whore" so I hung up the phone in shock and furiously text him back like "my god you're a c***, I hate your haircut and you're not even that fit, mate" to which he responded with basically offering to do something quite explicit to me. To that I said "You're not that good in bed." and he was like "Sorry I'm totally fucked. When do you wanna see me?". "You just called me a bitch!" "Let's have a chilled night in sometime?" "Who the fuck do you think you are?" Lesson: don't drunk call. It rarely ends well.

Oh wow  that is terrible.with that kind of response I would never want to see that person again.I dont drink so drunk phone calls are not something I personally do but have received them from plastered people who accidentally called my number. they are interesting to say the least.. I hope things are better for you and Remi at future parties.

Yeah. You don't deserve to be talked to that way, even if they're drunk.
