What Really Happened to Lilly?
“On that
particularly warm October night, the skies were clear and moon-lit as the yacht
swayed gently at the end of a peer. Silent music, muffled by the walls, echoed
out of the dining room which the murderer had just left behind. One of the
doors to the kitchen clicked closed in between, and LillyAnn lifted her
half-eaten muffin in a greeting to the peanut munching murderer. The suite
bathroom was currently occupied, she explained putting the muffin down, but
Blecky should be back soon. So, the murderer stayed to wait a little and
stepped closer to exchange a few words with Lilly.
Who
knows what the conversation was about? For certain, it was very short, less then a few
minutes. Either way, in its midst the murderer was reminded of the bad blood
between her and Lilly. Of the contest she had thought of and Lilly had stolen
from her. Now it couldn’t be held again for months! No matter what Lilly said
about state-only contests…
Perhaps
she had been planning to do it all along. Perhaps it was an idea that just
popped into her head that exact moment. But while Lilly’s head was turned, the
murderer then crumpled up some of the nut crumbs in her hand and sprinkled them
on top of the half-eaten muffin on the counter. She had just learned of Lilly’s
nut allergy earlier that week, and didn’t think it was that bad probably – but even
if it was… Well, this should teach Lilly something in any case.
Then she
said that she couldn’t wait any longer. Her turn would come around pretty soon.
Maybe between that and then next instead? And, so she slipped out of the
kitchen, and left poor LillyAnn to her unfortunate faith. That devious, devious…
Audrey Lynn.
In the
following days, when the investigation started, Audrey kept low profile. Her
strategy was to blend into the crowd and hope no one paid too much attention to
her or put one and two together. She did try to shift some suspicion away from
herself and her murder method ever so slightly. She claimed she’d eaten a
little bit of everything, and nothing could therefore be wrong with the food at
all. She even directed suspicion towards poor Cherri, whose only crimes were acting
unbelievable suspicious, losing her scarf, having no clear alibi, and pissing Audrey
off during the party. The small detail that her scarf had already been found
and taken by Toki before the captain even left the boat seemed a small detail
in the face of Cherri’s theatrically unempathetic behavior. Such a great red
herring she made indeed…”
Thank
you all so much for playing this through! It was so incredible fun reading
trough your theories and discoveries. You quite quickly picked up on most of
the most important things, and also managed to uncover to others later with
ease. There were some fun theories there I didn’t even consider in the planning
phase (like the possibility of getting an overdose on pie-poison purely because
you eat more pie than anyone else). I’m so glad to have entertained you with
this silly game if nothing else <3
This was also kind of a learning experience for me and didn’t go completely as
planned. It ended up a little trickier than expected, I think. There were some
time zone related shenanigans, which prevented you from finding out about the nature
of the board game gang’s alibis properly until much later than intended. Difficult
to maneuver many actors. Also, I think I could’ve made the timeline a little
clearer for you all, and maybe made this a two-day game instead of three. Should
also have been clearer about language describing the body.
Millions
of thanks again also to my PH peers and other actors who dared to do this and
followed the script (and it’s alterations) beautifully! It would literally have
been impossible to do this alone. I
hope you all found this more fun than taxing and enjoyed the experience <3

As for the prizing, I did promise I’d
reward active participation and uncovering clues, so here goes. There were no
completelu right answers so instead it’s several smaller ones. 150D for discovering
a significant clue and 75D for a lesser or partial detail. I went through the
conversation and tried my best to see who was the first one to figure out/mention
what.
