i like the new representation but i prefer the older gen. they kinda lost their "cuntiness" ig and u can argue that childrens dolls don't need to be "cunty" but i think that especially when i was younger, their more mature looks made them so appealing and not mature in a sexual way but mature in a grown way. i hate the evolution of these dolls looking more babyish as time goes on.

There are a lot of new things i can't quite get behind, like Toralei no longer being a street cat, and also whatever the fuck is going on with Heath Burns (his design is horrendous).
The initial drop of core dolls was just okay but now that we're getting skulltimate secrets and such it seems like they're getting back their style.

I bought a G3 doll for my birthday!! I loved these as a kid and after whatever the hell G2 was supposed to be I'm happy Monster High is back.
It's ridiculous to act like MH is somehow betraying its target audience with the reboot when the audience was and still is preteens/teens, most people who were the target audience back then simply aren't now.
I wasn't too pleased with the movie but the animated series is pretty good from what I've heard :D There are some things I didn't expect, some of them worse or better than the original but OH MY GOD THE DOLLS HAVE DIFFERENT BODY SHAPES I LOVE THAT SO MUCH HOW CAN YOU NOT LOVE THAT

Grew up surrounding myself with everything MH, so I was cautious about the design of the G3 dolls. But the new dolls actually surprised me! They still have the older MH vibes (just more "cartoon-y"??) with updated fashion and body types. I think people forget that they're supposed to be for kids as well lol

Absolutely hate it. This was a nice opportunity for them to make new characters. The old ghouls and mansters could've graduated and the new students could've been introduced. This is including diversity. There was no reason to change the old characters because some of the have changed for the worst and the clothes are not it. If they wanted to reflect new fashions, they're doing it wrong.
