I think that at some point, people will have similar looks or even identical looks. Even in real life, like, trends happen because most people agree that some items/styles/aesthetics are cool and that they want to wear them because it makes them happy. So like, unless the person copying you is like, harassing you, blocking and unblocking you or just constantly looking at your profile to catch new looks of yours, it really shouldn’t be such a big deal.

I don’t think that’s the reason anyone is harassing you, unblocking then reblocking you, or staring at your profile repeatedly—of that you can be sure. Have a great day!

it can be annoying, esp if you have a distinct style - but i understand taking inspiration, i myself do it too!
now, kinda unrelated, but if you take inspiration from deactivated users, does that count as copying?

I love fake people, I love games, I love drama, music means nothing to me. I’m not a chill guy and if you fuck with my friends I will help you do it. I would betray any of my loved ones at any time and I would not hesitate to hit them with a car.

I wouldn't really even call taking inspiration copying to be honest, so I wouldn't necessarily consider that copying. Though, there is a fine line between imitation and inspiration.

There are plenty of cool items in shops including different clothing styles, wings, hairdresser items, faces, make up and what not which makes copying someone's look from head to toe pretty redundant. Number of different items pretty much outnumbers the number of active players. When add to that different color schemes, different layering, various combinations of given items it gives a lot of choice to everyone to make an unique look. Even if the intended outfit is very profiled and specific such as some costumes or items made based on movie, cartoon, game or comic characters, or outfits worn by celebrities, there is still a room to maneuver with details such as make up choice, hairs, backgrounds, digitals, etc. in order to make it unique yet to stay on the topic.

Taking inspiration or exploring how someone else layered items I wouldn't personally considered as copying or insulting. Ofc, there are many sides to each story and single issues. There are outfits that look very similar because of specific style but when look closer it gets obvious that items used are not the same. There was a situation when group of friends copied each others outfits out of fun, ofc they didn't take it as offensive since there was a mutual agreement for doing that and they were friends. On the other hand there were also issues when someone copied another one from head to toe for different, kinda malicious reasons. These were basically the same things but with different back story and agenda which make them completely different type of things.

When I started playing, there was a player whose style and outfits I really liked. She doesn't play anymore for a very long time but back then she was a great inspiration to me, especially the way how she layered Hairdresser items. I did explore her way of layering hairs and tufts, maybe even almost copied her complex hairdo in the first try, but later on I came up with different combinations on my own. There wasn't an issue regarding that. Maybe because we became friends, maybe because I've never copied her full outfits (even tho I liked them a lot our styles were pretty different), maybe she realized I was just a newbie who was excited over complex hairdos or there was a mix of reasons or none at all. Anyway, there were no ill intentions in me doing that and guess it was obvious to her.

On one hand I find it flattering and on the other hand it pisses me off because I spend a lot of time on my looks to have someone copy all/a majority of it. I have actually had it happen once where they used 90% of my look. Like yeah it's nice to know someone likes my style enough to copy me but don't lift my entire outfit lol. Especially if you're not even going to do it as good as me.

For me personally its super frustrating because i put a lot of effort and time into going through all the combinations in the shop to put together the vision i see in my head. I feel like i personally pride myself on having that kind of creativity and it sucks seeing people take from you and put it forward as theirs. My individuality is important to me!

I'll see clothes in the shops and not think much of them. But when i see someone make the same item look cute, i might be inclined to incorporate it into one of my looks. I have been inspired by others that dress amazing, maybe I have used some of their layering techniques, it's helped me get better over time. I would be flattered if I was able to take something obscure and have it copied by another bimbo.
When it comes to appearance, makeup, skins, tats, etc, I think it should be an individual thing.  I wear tattoos, if I saw someone outright copying mine, I might get pissed.
