When I typed "tard" on 4chan, it wasn't unusual. However, being forced to add certain words or letters to my speech is a form of compelled speech, which I believe is anti-democratic. I'm not opposed to the idea, but I have a problem with being forced to adopt it. The issue isn't with the view itself, but rather the coercion to conform to it.

im really trying to relate to you here. like i get it completely - i know this will probably lose me some favor but i frequented websites like 4chan and kiwifarms quite a bit when i was younger (though my board of choice was r9k lol) so i do understand when you say nothing that goes on here is really comparable and the mods are tight strung
however the internet is becoming more and more sanitized over time. that is undeniable everywhere. a lot more shit used to fly on Ximboland (i once saw rl photos of another player, an old man, dressed partially nude as his sexy bimbo persona right here on this very forum. back before the name was changed from Bimboland to be more family friendly lol) but like x/twitter and youtube and tiktok, it’s not like it used to be. you can’t just drop a quick “fag” on tiktok even if you’re literally gay. i think Ximboland is actually pretty forgiving on what it does let you say, in comparison
