so this morning i was at my boyfriends house because i slept over, i had class at 7:30am-11:20ish, my boyfriend went to school at around 10:20. my period started and i had the weirdest headache ever. it didn't hurt as bad as my usual migraines but everything about it felt like one. after my class i felt so nauseous, i had a party in the bathroom right after the nausea *keeping the details on the low lol*, and passed out on my bfs bed. felt nice sleeping on his side lol. when i woke up the same shit happened again and after that i just sat and smoked some weed. i had to go home because my mom was coming home from work soon and god forbid i came late on a school night. (even at 21 i have to follow strict rules but i learned to appreciate it while i live with mama lol.)
i get to my house and go through my front gate and i see the cutest little orange cat in the corner of the porch. oh my god. i thought maybe its just someones cat but he didn't have a collar, a tattoo or anything! i didn't want to scare him because the front porch is on the street side so i gently came up to him and he ran up to me meowing. it was so cute he kept rubbing his head all over me, purring and so on! he was soooo incredibly skinny and you can tell the guy hasn't eaten in a long ass time. we don't have stray animals where i live but this cat definitely didn't seem well kept if he had owners. i have a old fart named moter at home and i was so scared that they would have gotten into a fight because the cat seemed like he was ready to walk into my house as soon as i'd open the door. i also wasn't sure what my mom would have thought but she was coming soon anyways so i figured i'd hang out with the cat and see if he would have left on his own. he didn't leave my side and anytime i'd made some kind of movement with my hands he thought i was feeding him. each time i'd walk up the door hed follow me, i just didn't know what to do and it was getting dark outside. he has to be no older than 1-1.5 years old. my mom got home and she opens the door and i'm holding the cat. i let him in and he bolts under the couch. he was so hungry. i was explaining everything to my mom, he didn't have flees and surprisingly enough he was also neutered (castrated). my mom and i feed him and i closed the door to my room cause thats where moter was. he warmed up really fast and started to love my mom, too. the craziest thing is that today marks 2 years since we found out my father passed away. (its okay.) i was the first one to find out and the fact i found this cat TODAY is just, a little bit insane..?? what a coincidence or message.....
the cat fell asleep on me, i really wish i got to keep him but my mom and i got worried about my cat. he's really skittish and that little guy would have bullied the fuck out of him :S.. i just love moter and i wasn't sure if keeping another cat would be the best for us financially. my mom and i were so ready to take him because of the day, the little guy, everything, but we ended up giving him to my brother. my brother has a cat named tony but he would keep him in check lol. tony is old but they'll do fine. he used to live with moter lol. we told my brother if it didn't work out we would take him.
man this cat has me thinking so many things, i wish i took him but i told my brother maybe in 2 years i'll take him HAHA. *probably not.*
i searched through all the local lost pets, the animal shelter, so on, i messaged my complex group, etc, absolutely nobody was looking for him. he was outside for a while because a neighbour saw him steal a can of tuna from the garbage. oh my goodness such a cutie.
tldr- this was a huge ramble over the fact i saw a cat outside my porch on the day we found out my father passed away. it was a crazy moment but ultimately my mom and i decided to give the cat to my brother. nobody was looking for him and he was skinny as hell and hungry as fuck! super cute cat, wish we took him in but we love moter and felt bad but also felt just as bad about the little kitty.
