The thing with poland is that WE DIDNT CHOOSE THIS SONG AND ARTIST! our goverment did, they didnt show peoples votes (this is literally against the rules but ok??) We have chosen Jann- gladiator with 18.000 votes, blanka only get 5.000. This is very sad, the tv station and jury was corrupted by our goverment, blanka is a friend of them and actually one of jury make her choreography. They callen Jann diabolic and he gets last place. Ascelina please stay safe! come out slowly to people you know you can trust, i know it takes energy and time but your safety is worth it. If you have a chosen name you want them to use, what my friends did in HS so we didnt have to deadname closeted people, is we used a nickname from their chosen name, that wasnt too recognisable or feminine/masculine, to out them, and just said “oh inside joke” if someone asked. The consequence is i forgot peoples deadnames and have difficulties trying to email them lol. I am guessing youre American? either way it seems to be very scary to be trans right now :( I dont know countries/states think criminalising peoples happiness is ok, especially when the happiness doesnt affect anyone.

Yes, Poland is very catholic, the church rules the country, especially current goverment :( Its very sad to see how it affect our daily life now, not only on eurovision, for example they took away our right to abortion due to fetal disease, women are dying daily bc of that. OF COURSE they hate the whole lgbt community too, and i guess that they found Jann too much queer. and you know, queer=satan :D

Just insane, i don’t know whats happening in the world right now. Just a couple years ago every minority friendly move would be praised as progressive, and now multiple countries seem to be trying to undo all of that, and more.
Everything seems to be ok here in Australia, but i am scared we will be next, I can always pretend to be straight as i have a boyfriend. But i have so many trans friends, and friends in queer relationships, that i cant bear the thought of it happening here. I am thankful I live in a pretty good area to be queer, it isnt acceptable where i am to be bigoted in that way.
