speaking of sleep, i can't remember the last time i slept really well. it seems harder to happen every day. my sleep schedule is CATASTROPHIC. maybe it's because i adopted a cat and always end up keeping her company while she's awake :') so i'm sleeping from like 8am to 6pm. my mind is a mess. i was recently diagnosed with cluster C personality disorders, the extremely anxious, fearful and dependent types. for context, my life story is basically rapunzel's. all the anxiety makes sleep worse. and full of nightmares. i tend to dream very often that i'm running away or that i need to escape from someone or some dangerous situation. my dreams are full of secret passages, tunnels... i wake up just as tired as when i went to sleep. but it's interesting to notice how everything is related. but i'll start taking medicine soon.

About sleeping and problems with them..
what helps me the most at night is listening to my boyfriend's breathing and concentrating on synchronizing our breaths. If I can't sleep, it works better than counting sheep ;)
but it seems to me that how we sleep really depends on what our day looks like (how much exercise we had, how much you sit, how you work, how you feel stressed all the time and what you do with this stress) and what you do is happening in our head. do we have a lot of disturbing thoughts, intrusive ones that we can't get rid of. it's worth taking a look at what they're about.
tips for better sleep:
- regular, daily physical activity
- avoiding electronic smog and screens 2 hours before bedtime
- do not eat before bedtime
- CBD oils
- aromatherapy - especially lavender
- yoga
- lemon balm
- if you can't quiet your mind and live in constant stress - therapy
- the bed should be used only for sleeping and sex - exclude all other activities
P.S. therapist im Poland nade aplication to better sliping. Is IT something like this in your language?

My Fitbit claims to track my sleep. It gives me a bizarre sleep score, that sometimes is higher when I sleep less. It also shows how I compare to others my age. I somehow seem to be average even though I get less than the recommended amount of sleep...which makes me think most others don't get enough sleep, either.

I struggle with insomnia from time to time and over the course of a year I tried tracking my sleep with Fitbit too. It made my sleep gradually even worse because I worried so much about my sleep scores! Now whenever I can't sleep I get out of bed and do some light house chores like watering plants and such, or make myself a cup of tea and just stare out the window for half an hour. When I eventually go back to bed I usually fall asleep a bit easier

For when I can’t sleep I always recommend flipping your pillow to the cold side and getting out of bed for a bit like what Kandi said! Smelling essential oils like lavender too would help me x
