I've tried tea so many times and I always try to like it but I haven't find any I enjoy yet! Do you guys have any suggestions on kinds or brands to try?

Also! For autumn I really like making apple cider. Makes the whole house smell amazing and it's such a cozy drink. (also getting halloween decorations in september of course)

EnthusiasticNaps, what have you tried before?
Personally, I did not like tea multiple times, because I kept trying black tea or forms of black tea like English Breakfast or Earl Grey. It wasn't until I was in university that someone introduced me to herbal tea. From there, I tried flavored teas.

In general, what do you like?
For example, if you like cinnamon, saffron, or other herbs/spices, try teas with those herbs/spices. Ex. Chai tea, thyme tea, saffron tea, turmeric tea, mint tea, etc.

Tea like most good things is an acquired taste and tea can be made from practically anything so there are so many flavours. I drank black tea for many years and enjoyed that but i never really fully appreciated and enjoyed the nuances and fuller flavours of tea until i learned to enjoy green tea. I  say learnt because it took me quite a while to developed a taste for it and I only ever did because i worked and regularly ate in part of town that had a lot of Vietnamese restaurants that served green tea immediately when you sat down at the table. It is a huge part of so many asian cultures and once you develop a taste for it you will understand why. At first i thought it tasted like dirty water but, no, the subtle flavours of a quality green tea is one of life’s simple pleasures and it is very soothing.

EntusiasticNaps, I would suggest that if you wanted to get into tea and find what you like that you leave black and herbal teas alone and stick with a good quality green tea and drink nothing else for a few weeks until you develop a taste for that. You may not end up enjoying it but if you do you will be in a better position to appreciate and enjoy the flavours of other varieties of tea. There are some truly amazing green teas, look at some of the Buddha tears / dragon pearls and jasmine varieties. Then of course there are (by comparison) the exotic and stronger flavours of black, herbal (and other) teas. My advice with any tea like anything else is quality and fresh is best. And check the ingredients and look out for added flavours, even some of the quality brands add flavours to their teas - this may not bother some but I notice the difference.

All this talk about tea has me wondering... is it worth it to get a cast iron tea pot?

Interesting question.
I personally have a glass electric tea kettle. I had one for a number of years & when it stopped working, I bought the exact one.

I know there are nice cast iron ones that can both be heated & look presentable for serving/pouring tea. But I am not hosting tea parties where the appearance of my kettle matters. I believe that my brother has one of these.

I don't know enough about how the kettle's material may affect the water/tea other than that some people say it changes the taste. Scientifically, iron vs. copper kettles leave iron or copper ions in the water. Both are not only safe to consume but are considered essential minerals in small quay. Beyond that, I don't know the benefits of one kettle over another.

Happy Sunday sweet Bimboland residents.

Now then we've been talking about tea and it's been very interesting to discover so much about it. It's made me nostalgic  and I now have a feeling that a visit to the city may be in order to track down some of my old favourites in China Town. I just hope the tea shop is still there.

On a totally different topic. As we all know you are only allowed to have one Bimboland account and can be punished for having more than one. I am curious as to why anyone would want more than one? I can't imagine having another one as well as this one. It's all consuming as it is and I have very little time for anything else. So who would have enough time to invest in two accounts, my Bimbo is high maintenance.  Keeping up with everything that's happening here in BL, playing games and dressing up all takes time. Sometimes i'm on here way too long and miss out on going out....oops maybe shouldn't have said that. So again I ask who has time and energy enough to maintain two accounts here in Bimnboland? Why would you do it?

Have a great day everyone, thank you all for joining in and making this thread great! Have a lovely week too you alll.

From what I understood, some people used/use additional accounts in order to make sure they win their debates and fights. Not exactly how the game should be played, but not exactly surprising, either.

Oh, like to fight their worse dressed account? Or to vote for themself?

I also think at one point, accounts were being used to try to change the elections.
