Our ancestors' "primal cave bb minds" had belief systems and ideologies of their own. We just don't know a lot about them since they didn't have writing. But we do know that people cooperate best when they have shared values and beliefs and based on the artifacts left behind by prehistoric peoples, it's pretty clear that they weren't just running around doing fuck-all and were organized.
