Am I the only one who is seeing the intellectual level of human beings rapidly declining? It seems like everyday I hear the most stupid thing ever. ~waits a few more hours and something else gets said that makes me want to slam my head into a wall~ The sad thing is it's usually white collar people, educators and the media that are guilty of this. If you feel like it and just want to rant, post those statements you hear here.
These are some examples Of this week's statements that are driving me wild.
After a major city school district sent home letters to parents stating they have run out of money and won't be able to finish the school year the administrator was on the news explaining this and demanding more public funds. "We have already borrowed 1/4 of a billion dollars that can't be paid back, mostly to pay our staff." Followed by, "Last year we needed 400 teachers and have hired 1000 of them."
(Umm! Maybe that's part of the problem, gross mismanagement not lack of funds.)
And another school district has sent home letters to parents warning of a bedbug infestation also threatening any child who is kept home from school will be charged with truancy. This made the news. "But beg bugs aren't really a problem in schools. The schools are too cold for bedbugs to crawl around and reproduce."
(Umm! If you understand bed bugs you will understand just how cold those schools are and the fact that they are too cold to educate children.)
Truck crashes into a house and both erupt in flames. The driver of the truck runs around to get a hose and starts spraying his truck with water. The home owner stands and watches their house burn to the ground gripping about the guy with his own fire crisis who is trying to save his truck. "He's worried about his truck burning..."
(And if a massive flood occurs they'll be waiting for the others swimming around them to hold them up to breathe. They will die if they ever really have a disaster.)
Weatherman points to the map and states, "This area will get more snow accumulations of snow because all their snow will be snow."
(I can only laugh at the stupidly on this one.)
