Both of you have been inseparable from the moment you meet each other. Each others missing half - true soulmates. Always together living in harmony with yourself and the nature. But the destiny decided to play a cruel joke on you both.On the fateful day that changed your whole life, the wind out of nowhere started blowing harsh, rain poured so hard you could barely see anything that was farther than few centimeters from you. Unknowingly, you had wandered into the forbidden part of the forest - the part claimed by a witch with nasty temper.
As soon as you stepped inside the storm felt quite like it was happening behind an invisible wall. You immediately noticed that something isn't right, but it was too late to fix anything cos the witch was standing right in front of you. She didn't even bother to listen to you. Instead, in a booming voice she cursed you both:
Under moon's pale, silvery glow,
A curse was cast, a spell to grow,
By witches' hands, with wands so bright,
A separation, a lonely night.
For day and night, a divide to make,
A barrier strong, a heart to break,
No words to share, no touch to share,
A distance vast, a love to spare.
The child of day, with sun's warm light,
Lived separate, in a world so bright,
The child of night, with stars so cold,
Lived separate, in a world so old.
Though close they lived, yet far apart,
A few short minutes, their hearts to start,
A fleeting glance, a whispered word,
A promise kept, a love to be heard.
Until the day, when night and day,
Are one, and the curse is swept away,
The children's hearts, with love so true,
Will reunite, in a love anew.
For this contest you will need to pair up with another player. If you wish to be eligible for prizes, one person of the pair must be an FTL citizen.
One of you will make the 'child of day' while other creates 'child of the night'. Like usually the creative path what to make is up to you - animal kingdom, fantasy creatures or maybe even clashing professions (ex preschool teacher and party animal) etc. but you need to match as a pair. Interpret the day and night as you want, have fun with it Owls.
When posting your entry, please post also who is your other half.
RULES:
☼ Pair up with another ximbo to take part. One of you makes the 'child of the day', other 'child of the night'.
☾ Couples aesthetic needs to match (for ex one of you can't be a rabbit while other are a demon. A nocturnal animal will fit best in the case if you choose to make a rabbit as a child of the day).
☼ Description don't affect the score but it's still very much appreciated.
☾ Along with your entry share with who you paired up.
☼ One entry per person. If you change your mind and want to change your entry, you can do that. Just delete the previous entry and post a new or contact me personally.
☾ Any entry after deadline will not be accepted.
☼ Be respectful towards each other and follow the forum rules.
PRIZES:
☼ To be eligible for prizes one person from the pair must be a citizen of Freethinkerland.
☾ Freethinkerland citizens and their partners receives participation prize.
☼ For Peoples choice qualifies everyone. ONE look with 'child of day' and ONE 'child of night' (basically two people will receive peoples choice prize).
☾ The prizes and total number of winners are in my discretion and are not going to be revealed ^-^

P.S. I understand some of you feel surprised since you expected 'Paradise Beach' contest that you voted on instead of this one. It will happen, don't worry. As soon as this one ends it will start so you can get your ximbo ready for some fun time under the sun.
As a shop worker, I was aware of the shop event 'Less is More' that recently took place way before it started. I knew there will be some new items you will be able to use if you find them to your liking. Because of this, I deliberately delayed the start of 'Paradise Beach'. I hope you will understand my reasoning for this and won't be angry about it.
