I was wondering if anyone's read any of the original W.I.T.C.H. visual novels / books. I used to watch the cartoon as a kid and recently saw a YouTube review of it and it seems that the books were way better. I had one of them as a kid but it was given away years later cause I only ever skimmed through it, but now that I'm actually into comics I'm really curious how that story goes! So, has anyone read them and could give an opinion on whether they're worth purchasing?
Feel free to consider this a general WITCH conversation thread :)

Oh yeah, as a child, I used to watch this cartoon too. My parents (especially my dad) used to buy me the magazines about W.I.T.C.H. sometimes, but they thought that comics are stupid so I don't have any of them. Yes, I still have these magazines! Moreover, we've collected all five dolls, and now the girls are sitting in their cottage (made of a box from the fridge specially for them).
I wanted — no, I dreamed — to be Cornelia, but in my childhood I used to wear ugly glasses, so the only girl I could be (while playing with my friends) was Taranee. And I was really upset, because I didn't look like she! ("I've got blue eyes and fair hair, I'm not Taranee!") Now everything is fine with my vision, I don't wear glasses anymore and my hear is long (last summer it was about 1.24 m, but then my mother decided to cut them "a little bit" (GHOOAAA IT WAS 40 cm!!!) and now it is about 1.04 m).

the volumes of the comics i have have some gaps in them but i was really fascinated with them as a kid, i don't think i actually cared about the story but the illustrations are gorgeous and i'd honestly recommend it just for that. i'm sure the story is great too but i never really got the chance to follow it. also, the girls' outfits are good fashion inspo

lol for a minute I though we were the same person

My dad liked the magazine, tho. He gave me the magazine's subscription  as a birthday gift (I don't remember what year). He always encouraged me with reading and my "strange" tastes. As long as I can remember I always liked the occult and witches and the like - seriously, my sixth birthday was a witch theme and I asked my mom for a purple cake with spiders. I'll try to find the picture of this later to show it lol

But yeah, going back to W.I.T.C.H, I collected magazines, books and dolls! I soooo wish I still had my dolls, but my mom ended up selling all my dolls, W.I.T.C.H, Barbie, Susies (without my permission :D while on vacation :D) and it still hurts me today.

My favorite one was Irma! My best friend at the time really liked Cornelia and to be honest our personalites are kinda like the characters too.

Do you guys heard that they will come back? At least in Italy?
