So I sat on my bed today and my mind wondered off to my younger childhood days. On Sunday mornings I, my mum and sisters would wakeup and prepare a basket full of food, blankets, toys and a few other things. We would go to the beach with my cousins and just spend time together playing in the sand and water and also talking. Most times we would be having so much fun we wouldn't notice the sun has gone down. Those times were so fun, I used to look forward to every Sunday, but now everyone has grown up.

i loved my grandmother on my mom's side more than anyone in life. She passed away over 10 years ago, but I still choke up every time I think about her. She was the most loving human being in the world, completely selfless and a total saint. My favorite memory of her is when she used to sing me to sleep. She had a terrible crackly voice, but it was the most calming, beautiful sound to a 7 year old drifting off to sleep, hawaiian trade winds gently blowing in through the slatted windows. I don't think I will ever feel that loved or safe or peaceful again.
Going to theme parks with my family is always a fun memory!

Quilting, sewing, and dressing like Bimbo's in hand-made clothing.
My mother was killed, much to soon for me..........
Becoming an Orphan was my most powerful Childhood memory.

It tends to DEVASTATE a DAUGHTER.
Every good Memory I have of CHILDHOOD;
Ended with my mothers DEATH at the hand's of a 16 year old BOY. Murder by a child is difficult to deal with....... "The Killer" has his own problems....... ehhh..... Anger HURT'S...............
So My new Chapter of Life is MINE........ A BABY named Tieanne.........
She will only be blessed in Childhood. The Karma, of LOVE for my Daughter.
I am responsible for MAKING CHILDHOOD memories..... TieAnne reminds me of that EVERY day.....

My favorite memory is sprinting to Grandpa's as fast as my little legs could go after school to try the first ripe peaches off of his tree for the season. Hot, sticky air, dim light, mirror-tile kitchen wall and a bead curtain separating his always chilly reading nook and food storage. A pressure cooker filled with black beans simmering away in preparation for dinner. Candied meats and fish hung on cotton twine and dry-aging from the ceiling. Grandma rolling Cuban cigars at a wood table to sell at the market and reminding me that they might have to rethink my nickname with as many peaches as I would clear in an hour. They called me "monkey" because of my fondness for bananas.

Hmm... when I would go on walks with my dad through the city for him to get his income tax done. My dad passed away 2 years ago.

I had a difficult childhood due to being admitted a lot in hospital but the best memory was a food fight we had at Christmas. I was 7 and my brother was complaining to my mum about the turkey.....my mum decided to flick mashed potato on him....its got a bit messy but was hilarious!
