Now this is the most asked question I actually ask myself!

The traveling bug has gotten hold of me and I'm doing some research of where I can go without a visa from South Africa.  There's so many places, I was very surprised. I have some family over seas, England/Spain/France but mostly like going somewhere tropical.  Went to Zanzibar last year for my 30th and it wasn't even expensive at all, I read that going to Cape Town here in South Africa actually costs more!

My top 3 places I will visit soon:

nice list.  I have been fortunate and traveled a lot...mainly for work but I squeeze me time into it as well.  I did Mozambique a couple of years back in passing to Madagascar...really underrated destination with stunning beaches.  For many travelers it can cost a lot more to get there than other destinations which is perhaps why it is often overlooked.  I would love to go back and do a proper safari.  kudos for the unique location...don't hear a lot of people mention it.

For me I love Argentina.  yes...I go there a fair bit but I always love it.  I love the culture and even more...I fricken love the food!!  I always say imagine a Spanish (Spain, not Mexico) born who is raised as a chef who moves to Italy to perfect Itallian food but has a passion for meat that would put a Texan to shame...that is Argentina eating...mmm

While I have done a fair bit of mainland Asia I have yet to be to Cambodia...so that is on my list.  Vietnam is one of my favorite places I have ever been.

I am not much of a cruise person...perhaps when I am older...but I would like to do the Alaska cruise at some point.  It is supposed to b amazing.  I would like to do that or do the Antarctica excursion...but of course that takes setting aside a lot more time.  I know  couple people that have done it and the video is just breathtaking.

Always so hard for me to pick out a few place as there are so many I want to see!  While I want to see more I am super grateful to have been fortunate enough to see what I already have...I know not everyone gets that opportunity.

Make your parents proud, your enemies jealous, and yourself happy.  The only thing that can prevent you is you!

I've always loved traveling, but I've never traveled outside of my comfort zone which is something I want to do next time I travel. The two main places I've wanted to go are France and Italy to visit the art museums and view their historical architecture. I've always been told how great those places are from friends who've been there many times. I've never been to Europe or Africa which both seem like fun to explore. I want to go to a place that would give me a culture shock since I don't think I've ever experienced culture shock before.

I've only really traveled to Hong Kong, Korea, and Singapore. Korea is on the way to Hong Kong since I always take a connecting flight from Korea to Hong Kong. So I'm never in Korea for more than 48hours, but I do love the food there. Hong Kong is where my family is originally from so going there is like going to a never ending family reunion where everyone tells you how American you've become. I enjoy visiting Hong Kong, but I could never see myself living there which is why I ended up dropping my citizenship when I became an American citizen in 2012.

I was a foreign exchange student in Singapore when I was 16. I lived with a Indian/Chinese family which was interesting the family mainly spoke English and Mandarin and went to a Chinese church. I learned that a lot of religious christian Singaporeans basically spend their whole Sunday at church(or at least the social group my home stay was in is like that). While I was there everyone thought I was a relative of the family's and no one could tell I was from America until I started talking, which caught people off guard. Singapore was interesting I really enjoyed the diversity of cultures there and I found that its more of a mixing pot of different cultures than the US. Also theres no age limit in Singapore for getting tattoos so to my mother's dismay I did come back with a tattoo.

In the course of my youth, I was taken to many place's in the world.   The problem being, I was always completely 'sheltered' by handler's.
OK dangerous countries,  I couldn't give a shit about the protectionist attitude's shown by staff-member's.   "OK,"  I would say in a timid voice.

It seems so odd to me today to say I live in a place in the WORLD everyone in China seeks to visit for some strange reason.

After traveling the world in my lifetime I ended up picking a very quiet town with excellent school's for my young children, and a tax rate that was only 4% on income..      It is tough to decide where to live or go on Holiday.   EVERY PLACE  has it's advantages and 'COST'S.
The beach 4 mile's from my house is at 4953 feet above sea level.  Beautiful sand,  but not exactly an island paradise.  No palm trees,  but lot's of Snake's.    Deadly one's too.   Only a Stupid person goes 'off-trail' without a fire-arm.  But it is not just like that always. For 30 day's a year, it is the best place to tan/boat/ and get drunk with fishermen.  Half of the fun is Shooting snake's with nearly drunk, and often overly drunk men.   It's a local thing for fishermen and those sent to just keep the peace as weapon's are fired as if in a war. There is an annual hunt, and no licence required,  So it bring's out the whole community to protect everyone for the season.  The snake's are not endangered,  but little children are at risk. It was decided to have a snake hunt at the beginning of every summer season.   These men take this hunt so seriously,  it would frighten most armies'.   I love watching it, as a 3rd party. [ No arrest's or injuries to my knowledge ,EVER]   I have been known to cheer them.  It really is quite an Amazing thing to see !!!!  [simplified story]

Local's avoid the tourist trap's.  So we play in place's NOT on the MAP.
Cave Fall's is about 20 mile's south-east of Yellowstone National Park.   A Nasty Dirt road all the way.......[ 20 mile's is a very short trip in the VASTness of America. 20 mile's on dirt is about 10 hour's of driving.   It would really be hard for you to understand that Idaho is half, the entirety of England.  One STATE and 1,567,582 total population].
Why is the AREA so special???????

Then you see the waterfall's featured in so many movie's.
A cave system, with water falling as it's front door.   To see it from dry land you would think it is just a wall of rock's and a churning river.   But if you know the secret path, it is an adventure into another world.  Yes it is messy,  and a bit dangerous to explore,  but  that is why it isn't on map's for tourist's. I have had nasty sex in that cave, with only a raging waterfall as the door to shame.  Yes,  I could hear the people playing in the pool right outside the waterfall.  Nobody could see or hear, me and my mate,   but I was totally aware of them because of the acoustic properties. Anyone outside could be heard perfectly clearly despite the falling water.
This cave system is very special in so many way's.   Geologically, it's make's me so WET because of it's totally unique properties. The rest of the reason's are my husband's to forever have,  [God rest his soul.]

This is just one example of why,  I can't think of anywhere in the world I would like to visit, because I already live in the most geologically active area on the planet.   Anyone can find pictures of Yellowstone National Park on the internet.    However,  none of you will ever see what I see on a daily basis.
I am a naturalist.  No city could ever capture my sense of wonder, like living on top of a massive volcano.
A world evolving right in front of your face.............  it is truly magical..........

Yes I have smoked weed's sitting at the edge of 'mud pot's  'boiling clay from the Earth'.  Sitting and bubbling and the occasional volcanic eruption that make's you go running for cover as mud at 210'F fly's everywhere........    Blub blub blub,  is it's sound,  but when an eruption take's place, the sound changes, and...............       Rescue mode take's over my body and you grab the closest person and Run !!!!!!.
[Even Stranger's are not immune from my body at those moment's. Once I hear an eruption about to begin, Political correctness and shame are discarded value's.  To live so close to death is an epiphany.   Just You and Mother Nature.  Grab the nearest child and run for the tree's.
( The 'tree-line'  is a marked boundary where you can generally be safe from eruption's.)

To live on the edge of a mass extinction event..... is gorgeous......  It really is impossible to really describe this Area with word's.   How would you teach a Blind person what the color Red is?        It's sort of the same thing.      How can you describe an entire Planet Earth, that is growing right in front of you in 'REAL TIME'
What can I say?????????   It is unlike anything most people can even dream about with coconut's.
      Been there and done that.........
I love going 'Home' best of all.  It's why I picked it in the first place.  "P,

Snakes get Shot.  Wolves eat the dead snake's.   Even 'lake-side's' have an eco- system thank's to humans with gun's..  heheheheeeee
City men with Drug's and complacent women don't even bother to visit...  It isn't worth it.   Yes, as politically incorrect it is,  WE DO PROFILE.  It is a necessity to identify 'fool's' for their own sake. They would die very naturally of Stupidity and no body ever recovered if we didn't....  That is just a fact of life here.  The general population is in no danger from them, with an average of 8.1 gun's for every man woman and child in Idaho. And a crime rate that is nearly non-existent.  Drug crime's is about it. Drugged out crime, against drug dealer's, [in my opinion they are self=aborting suicides in progress ]
Believe it or not,  there wasn't even a single arrest for drunk driving on New Year's Night in my City.
Can you say the same for where you live?.

"YOU are food for the environment."..
So now you know my 'mantra'.
It is always a good thing to remind yourself you are not invincible.
Being observant, and knowing the environment is the only way to survive once you leave your comfortable 'Grid' system.

     Stick to ^Ibiza.    :)

I've never been out of the U.S., and rarely even out of my own state! (And it's not even an impressive one!) But I promised myself a long time ago that after I finished grad school and got a 'big girl' job, that I would save up for a two week trip to Greece and Turkey. After that, I intend to go to Italy, Ireland/Scotland/England (I'm thinking another two week trip), Japan, France, Norway/Sweden/Finland (two week trip). I have wanderlust, but I was born into a very... Not so much into wandering family, haha.
