Worst Nightmares
i've had scarier nightmares than the one i'm going to write about, there was one a month ago that haunts me but it's really just vague images and a sense of foreboding now so it's hard to describe
the one i'm sharing is my most vivid dream and it happened when i was really young. it's the only time i can remember dreaming in sepia tones
i was walking through a house, it might have been mine or might have been a friends house. high ceilings, no doors, just archways from room to room and arched windows cut out of the walls. i remember the floor being a large black and white tile pattern. it was completely empty, no people, no furniture, no decoration or art on the walls. the space had the sense of unsettling surrealism of an m.c escher piece but without the impossible architecture. i heard muffled voices from a few rooms away and walked towards them and into a bedroom with two tall bunk beds. two of my childhood friends were playing in the room, a small blond girl and red-headed boy. i get the vague sense that someone came to the door and told us to go to bed even though it was still bright out. i don't remember seeing what they looked like but they felt unnaturally tall. the perspective moved to the upper corner of the room, looking down from a harsh angle as i started to climb the ladder to the top bunk. it was like i was watching myself from up on the ceiling, the climb was slow and long and just as i was reaching the top i slipped and fell. the perspective shifted back into my body as i fell and i felt my head smack onto the tiled floor and a crack like my skull splitting and then i woke up.

i was trapped in a room. there was a really fuzzy crab on the wall and it kept crawling towards me. for some reason i just... Had Knives on hand but every time i would throw one i would miss and the crab would scuttle faster.

this wasnt scary but i think god told me the sun is rotting
was sneaking out of a facility where everyone was supposed to be practicing turning into monsters or something (kind of looked like shape of the water dude) by jumping into a pool and changing, and i knew it was evil, and if i jumped there wouldn’t be water for me (bc they would take it away bc they knew i didn’t trust them) so i ran.
i think my friend frog was caught in the drain and i got eth out. we and one other person i don’t remember got a ride from a group of three old ladies. the only food anywhere on earth was froot loops btw. we hid under some blankets and they drove for a long time.
we got to a cliff by the sea where there was a storm brewing the sky was slate grey. there was an old lighthouse missing it’s top and we filled it halfway to the top with pillows and blankets and made a nest. i think i asked what was going on and one of the old ladies offered to explain but that to REALLY understand we’d have to change.
at this the other two old ladies turned into like something maybe a snail and a maggot, definitely a maggot but giant. they used to be human but learning changed them. and the third lady said the earths food, the sun, had a sheen of rot on it, it was going bad, which had made things change and go bad themselves.
while they explained this they were on the lip of the lighthouse looking down on us laying in the nest from above. the guys in charge of the facility from before were earths gods spirits whatever that has gone bad from the sun rot so that’s why they tried to mess with people.
Well, I've had trauma. So, my worst nightmares are reliving that trauma. Then, when I wake up from them, I'm generally disoriented (i.e. I don't realize I am alone in my apartment.)

was in my bedroom (sidenote, had a fuckin sick ass bedroom) on a call with friends at night and a man came in and started playing on my xbox then came over to me while i was pretending to be asleep and he started taking off my sheets and clothes so he could do some bad stuff :( did not sleep the rest of that night
Okay, so this one needs a little context. I had this dream a couple months ago so at that time I'd been vegan just under a year. My parents allow me to do so and support me but they don't particularly like it.
I dreamt that they were trying to get me to eat a plate of eggs. I politely refused but they kept insisting. This went on for hours, slowly escalating until I was sobbing. They had been yelling at me but out of seemingly nowhere they stopped. They said fine, don't eat the eggs, and stared at me blankly. That's when the dream really started getting scary.
I moved to get out of my chair but I couldn't; I was strapped in. Suddenly my friends were in the room, all tied up. My parents started cutting off strips of their flesh while my friends struggled and screamed before force feeding it to me. I have had a major fear of cannibalism from a very young age so this shook me to my core.
I woke up screaming and drenched in seat. Worst sleep ever.

i always dream super gorey n graphic things but a reoccurring one is me either having to pull my teeth out or them falling out and i have to spit them out but more keep coming . not very nice
Had a dream that left me very anxious where I just felt like I was greening out and that if I went to sleep I thought I was gonna die had to open my eyes and make myself realize it wasn’t real
