Dear Bimbos

Once again I would like to extend a warm welcome and congratulations to our recently elected Prime Bimbo - Tokikonoe

This is the 2nd time she has been voted in by you the public so its clear she is a popular and successful Prime Bimbo. (note: PBs have a 3 term limit)

My staff in the Palace have enjoyed working with the current Pink house administration to make Bimboland a better place. And we look forward to working together over this term.

We have lot of exciting plans that the PB will share

A few issues -

a) Opposition

We all want to create and live in a vibrant and exciting democracy.

That starts with having a healthy opposition to government.

Disappointingly we only had 1 candidate on this occasion which means that we did not have alternative views and ideas on how to run BImboland being voiced. At the heart of a vibrant democracy is free speech, opposition and debate.

Worryingly the number of posts were down a lot over the last term as well. That is not a sign of a healthy and vibrant democracy.

In order to help foster a vibrant democracy this we will be making a few changes namely =

- all State ministers in future will be expected to run for PB. We want ambitious and pro active State ministers whom want to help change the world. People who think BIG.

If you dont want to be PB please do not step forward for State Minister.

The next State minister elections are in 2 months so we are hoping and wanting ambitious Bimbos to step up and voice their opposition and their candidature in a positive warm and proactive manner

- The PB will have the power to change the 'debate' subjects to mix it up and discuss issues pertinent to Bimboland

b) Money

So we have sent the PB her salary for the last term which amounted to $331

Are you all aware how this is calculated?

This salary is created by the senators. We pay 33% of the senators subscriptions into the pot for the PB salary.

So Bimboand earned roughly $999 in senators subscription fees over the last term.

Senators are the lifeblood of Bimboland and pay the PB salary and the Palaces salaries.

Therefore I encourage all you Bimbos whom care about Bimboland and whom can afford it to become Senators.

Support your PB and support Bimboland by becoming a senator please.

Senators have special perks and we are trying to improve these all the time.

I believe this was mentioned in a previous announcement thread, but it is worth repeating. Some of us would like to see the official job description & contract in advance, so that we know what all is entailed before we decide if we want to run for the position.

Not trying to be negative here, as I really appreciate the updates, but forcing all SMs to run for PB seems like a bad idea? Next thing you know no one will want to be SM at all, or if an SM who doesn't want to be PB wins anyways that will be an issue. I've seen a lot of people asking for more incentives for the PB position, so maybe consider some ideas about those from the community. That being said, I understand that maintaining and updating this site is a lot of work and we're all willing to be patient :)

I like the first part of the statement. Toki is amazing. Clever PBs are the best and good she got paid.
But when it turned into 1) an expectation to run for PB if you are a SM, 2) an advice not to become SM if you don't want to run for PB and 3) encourage all to be SM and therefore run for PB. That went in all directions very fast...
