Happy April, everyone!! Or mid-April........ I'm so sorry it's taken me so long to make a new popup here!! If you're just skimming, let me start with the contests and jump to some other notes after <3
First of all, a few minutes ago my bestie Katrynah posted a contest, ✧༺♥༻✧ Pollyx's Birthday Ball (Fashion Contest) ✧༺♥༻✧, which is a surprise for me for my 26th birthday this week!!!! I am so blown away and touched by this GDFGHFGHHHHHH literally can't get over this... anyway it's for all states, he's paying for it (i'll distribute diamonds), so go join the contest and celebrate!! Screenshots allowed for everyone!!!!
Next: if any of you haven't seen this already, I'm currently hosting an all-state contest with the help of the other shop workers and designers over at Nines, Inventing Vogue! In this contest you have a chance to have your dream items made for the shop!! Sketch, collage, describe in detail, or otherwise depict your dream shop items in categories of Bimbo, Himbo, Divine, and Accessories!! Winners will get Diamonds and your item will be made by a designer and added to the shop as a collab item between you. Go check it out!! Open until April 18th, but if we don't get enough entries I'll extend that, don't worry. Should have made this popup sooner, sorry, it's been crazy! I hope to repeat this again if it's successful.
I was going to post my next fashion contest sometime this week but I'll actually be pushing it back a bit as there are many contests running right now, Katrynah's surprise contest included, and want to give people some time to make looks for everything if they want to!
Aaaand some belated post-election notes: As some of you may have noticed, voting for the last SM election was not what it was in December. There was a glitch which locked many players out of the site caused by a change made by Team Bimbo to make it so that only Senators can vote in SM elections. Since no one was warned about this change in advance, this obviously had an influence on almost all the elections and I'm sorry for those of you who weren't able to vote this time, but thank you to the 8 people who voted for me!! Eleven active Senators in Antitheocra, who knew?? Thank you so much for your support. I won't let you down!!
Audrey from Athiesta made a similar post asking for feedback on this, but let me know in the comments (Antitheocra only) how you feel about prizing for contests. With recent events I have hesitance about buying new diamonds and funneling my money towards an owner who regularly abuses users and dedicated volunteers, from members of the Pink House to designers and everyone in-between. I dedicate a lot of my time to this site, I love the people here and the community. Being an SM for the best state ever (!!!!!) and a Shop Worker has given me so much insight into so much good in this site. It's also been a bit of a mess lately, I think many of us have noticed. Like pushing a boulder up a hill sometimes, I swear... but on that note, I want to know if diamonds are something you are all even attached to or if banners would be fine—but I'm okay with any response you give! I'm accepting screenshots for all my contests now. I don't have to buy them immediately, so some of the options here include contests without diamonds, contests with smaller prizes but still some (allowing me to spend less frequently), or keeping things the same. Whatever you think is fine with me <3 my feelings aren't hurt either way. You can also answer this anonymously in the survey below, if you want.
Anyway, here's a survey you can fill out, it's super short and not as extensive as ones done by some bigger state SMs, but I hope it can be a place to share feedback if you have any. If not or if you'd rather put it here in the comments, no big deal.
On a somewhat related note, I encourage you to enjoy what's positive on the site! There are several contests running in different states right now and so many activities. Stay away from the stuff that makes you feel terrible, keep your chin up, and let's all continue to make this community amazing, make some bombshell outfits, and so on and so forth :)
