This whole situation sucks. Seriously, I have post-graduate work, passed 2 board exams, but when I was working I got paid less than a janitor I know & less than a carpenter I know....I know money isn't everything, but it sucks to spend all that money on school & supervised practice hours to then make less money than people who didn't.

Yup, totally feel you. I would never judge people with jobs that don't require uni studies, but I do get frustrated when I could just as easily work at a supermarket and be paid better than being a physical therapist.Yes! Especially in this weird economy. My hospital laid off almost all of the physical therapists, 1 of 2 speech therapists, and many other important allied health workers. Then, all the other healthcare facilities around me are furloughing or laying off workers and having hiring freezes. Then, when I apply to work at a supermarket, I'm "overqualified."

Oh, hospital workplace. Idk about your country, but here, if I want to work in a hospital, I have to pay aprox. 8000 euros. No mattet how smart, qualified I am, I have to pay at least that sum, sometimes even more. If I don't, someone who barely has a diploma but has the money will simply take the job. Ain't life great?
