Hey!While I do think the discussion idea is good, I also think this forum in itself is also good because this is where Chris can directly see our frustrations and anger and such. I don't think we need TOO much formal discussing on boycotting because I do believe everyone here got the general idea--the problem is everyone else who's looking at this like "what the hell is going on?"
So I wanted to read all of the comments before I said anything since I've only been here for literally a week, and by page 7 or 8 I was losing my mind (I did force myself to read til the end before commenting though) because I think there are so many important good ideas here and right now it seems like there's not a lot of ideas on how to structure what should happen next.
As a human I really really love to just jump into things headfirst, so please more senior people rein me in where necessary. THAT SAID
In my opinion the most important thing we should do right now is find some place OFF bl where we can all discuss this, probably discord would be a good idea? If we're going to plan a strike then it's going to backfire if by getting off the site we then lose communication to everyone who is part of this community. So goal #1 would be to set up a mini community elsewhere so that we can stay in communication if we decide to strike or migrate or whatever.
My next idea would be that we try striking senatorship to get Chris' attention, if this doesn't work (which from what a number of people have said sound entirely possible) a combination of what pierrot and zizi_babeyy said which would be crowd sourcing funds for a new site. Worst case we keep our community and have to rebuilt the game, but at best Chris is super intimidated and gives this site back. I think I think people underestimate the power of a well led community pulling together. From a very brief conversation I had with Toki it sounds like already there are programmers and web designers((myself included) in our mix so I think there's almost certainly an amount of talent that we could pull it off.
That's like... 1/2 of my ideas for things we can do, but I'm going to stop writing this brick of text now so people can respond.
also why is everything so slow lately, helpMy theory is that because there's been an influx of new players coming here from a Tiktok comment, the servers are lagging because they cannot handle so many players joining at once. They already managed to crash another site and were told to join this one instead because it's similar. That's also why there's been a LOT of new players if anyone's noticed, and they're not even bots like I first assumed.

They probably haven't gotten the message so I think it's worth getting more people in on this before we actually grow more formal discussions outside of the site. That's just my opinion however.
miesha wrote:That sounds good as well. Don't get me wrong I am not against the original idea, I just think we should probably attract people before going too formal. A few players are um... basically they have connections to the owner, so they're probably not going to join us and possibly overpower us, hence why we need more numbers. While I do think the discussion idea is good, I also think this forum in itself is also good because this is where Chris can directly see our frustrations and anger and such. What about the idea of keeping majority of the info here, then using the discord as more of a backup, collect people on it who are interested and then we have it as an option in case we want to more easily communicate with everyone? As I'm writing this I'm actually wondering if it would be a good idea to just have an email list signup, that way it's an easy way to get communication out and not lose touch with people, but actually conversation would have to happen here since you can't do it on a newsletter sort of thing

miesha wrote:This one right here. However it is still in testing mode so no new players are allowed to join, especially after the crash they caused yesterday. Even if you did manage to join, your account is technically in beta mode and you could lose all progress once it is officially up.KitteaCat wrote:What was the other site?also why is everything so slow lately, helpMy theory is that because there's been an influx of new players coming here from a Tiktok comment, the servers are lagging because they cannot handle so many players joining at once. It's kinda ironic that a person who is so into the idea of creating an internet republic where no one is oppressed runs it like a bored capitalist dictator.Love everything you said, especially this bit right here. This one really hits everything.
