Chris has made up his mind to keep the site 16+, we can not budge him on that, but he agreed to make changes to the site to make it appropriate for 16+ players, I know not everyone is going to agree with this but I see it as a small victory already that after months of neglecting this issue changes are finally being made, even when everyone would have preferred the site to become 18+ again, I will wholeheartedly accept the site being 16+ as long as the appropriate changes are being made to ensure the safety and comfort of everyone involved

Obviously, you can't stop minors from lying about their age, but now you're pretty much attracting even younger kids to sign up thinking it's appropriate.
And what about the messages? Are private messages even moderated? How are they going to make sure people over 18+ aren't going to send someone publically stating they are 16, explicit messages?????

Nothing seems to be progressing towards true safety for minors and I must admit that I, personally, feel silenced as someone who grew up with the Internet at a young age and suffered extreme trauma. Chris doesn't care about people like me because he cares about money, and people keep trying to be pacifistic about it when they shouldn't. Chris is a dangerous man and should be treated as such, not with respect. He isn't going to do the things we want because he's riddled with money and power. But of course this will only get discarded because what do we know, right? Absolutely nothing apparently even though I'm living proof of how traumatic it can be if you're introduced to sexual content at a young age.
That is why I have decided to step away from this. Everything is so overwhelming and no one is listening. I'm still very much in support of everyone protesting, even I consider myself a protestor still, but I will no longer actively participate. In fact, if nothing gets changed, I'll be deleting my account eventually. I cannot deal with a ridiculously stubborn man who thinks he knows everything. And I strongly believe that will be his downfall in the future.
