7. DM restrictions for those aged -18 [No dm's allowed from those not apart of the Bimbolands staff team to those -18 & anything posted on their profile must be reviewed and approved before actually being posted]

Since Chris is stubborn about keeping the site 16+, I have edited the first concern to reflect this issue
Concern 1: The site owner refuses to budge on making the site 18+ again but changes to make the site 16+ appropriate are coming through slowly.
Issue: This is lawbreaking considering the content the site has and allows. Much content is still inherently sexual and changes are implemented slowly. Adult users feel extremely uncomfortable interacting with minors on a website that is adult oriented. With the site being 16+ younger kids are also joining the site thinking that since it's 16+ them being 15 or 14 doesn't matter much.
Fix: Make the site temporarily 18+ again OR implement changes faster. Disallow sexual content in the forums and clean up any sexually charged thread.
Proposed changes to make the site 16+ appropriate:
1. Username changes
2. Remove 18+ items (or lock to 18+)
3. Remove sexy category (or lock to 18+, meaning those in that category are blocked to minors)
4. Enter age when signing up
5. Remove sex/drug references throughout site
6. Block people below 18 from being SM/PB
7. Have a lawyer look over the site to make sure it's fully legal

I think many of us are familiar with another dress-up game, Stardoll. Stardoll has both DMs & profile comments. The DMs (and maybe even the comments) are screened by a computer program (or, at least, they used to be. I haven't been on in ages). The program screened for "bad" words. I don't know what all the bad words were, but I know that "ass" was one of them because I used the word "pass" on several occasions and my DMs got rejected for containing "ass."
Obviously, not a perfect program, but my point is that there is a way to help protect minors from having sexual or otherwise inappropriate DMs.
The message filter thing doesn't really work, people are amazing at adapting, and instead of saying ass, there are a million other ways to say that word. I used to play a few games that had filtering like that; Roblox, Moviestarplanet, etc. Everyone would bypass it, including myself!

I know Neopets has it that when you're under 13 the option to DM people or post in the forums or join guilds or even add friends is unavailable until you're actually 13

pinging on the forums would be such a dream but alas i highly doubt that would be implemented any time soon. :(
regarding chris's insistence on making this site 16+, i think he's making a very stupid decision if he's trying to attract investors. heck, if i were them i would definitely not wanna invest in this place. plus it makes more sense to me to keep it 18+, since adult players seem far more likely to pay than minors.
as it's been mentioned here before, the site would need to go through so many changes to be friendlier to minors and imo it'd lose so much of the original "spirit" if that makes sense. the "fuck buddies" to "love with" doesnt make much sense but i hope they eventually come up with a better solution. i dont wanna hate/blame on any of the minors on here (i played the original miss bimbo as a child! i was like, under 10! thankfully i only rly cared about the dressup part and dont remember interacting with anyone, otherwise im pretty sure i mightve been scarred by that lmao). what im trying to say is the owner of bimbolands is being irresponsible as fuck by changing the minimum age without first making the necessary alterations to avoid legal issues. ty to you guys who are threatening action, i hope it brings results and helps protect minors who have stumbled/may stumble across bl.
