This whole thread is basically consisting of one person whining and basically saying, "Noooooo! Listen to meeee! I'm not racist so I'll use that little fact whilst advocating for cultural appropriation which is rooted in racism but that's totally okay because we have freedom of choiiiiiice!"
They probably have never witnessed their culture being appropriated. But that's none of my business

I suppose you could say, that I just find it obnoxious how, a Culture is appropriating, the ability to MAKE Choices for OTHER people based on prejudice.
Then calling it as being racially appropriate, if such expression is damned by those seeking to protect a minority from the abuse. In turn abusing those seeking to be appreciative of the culture in question.
By extension, what about European's who get " TRIBAL tattoos they don't even have a Idea of what the 'MEAN'.
A cultural appropriation TOO, but everyone seems to want such tattoos too, but are they mocked for it?
No they are not, because 'Snowflakes' consider that " Bad-ass and cool"...

I despise Double Standards, and Just SAID SO, in my own unique way. So feel free to hate the freedom of expression.
It is what most people do best without even realizing they are doing it.

If "other people's choices" disrespect a race's or tribe's culture then it's unacceptable. And do not use examples of features that were symbolic to a people's culture that have over time lost their significance to said people. the depreciation of one people's culture does not equate to the depreciation of all people's culture. Therefore, if it is a life long goal of some people here *cough* *cough* to appropriate people's culture....at least appropriate the dead culture that means nothing to no one. Until then, eat your olive bread sticks in silence

not trying to purposely mock you in any way, i apologize. it is very frustrating when you're arguing with someone and you just want them to understand and see you point of view but they constantly lie and disrespect you.
i just wish we could of had a civilized discussion without the constant attacking of each others intelligence and came to a mutual understanding and respect for each other and each others opinions and views.

   Why should I be hated for my presence, in a Native American Situation? I entered the culture because I originally sought to buy a pair of REAL moccasins, and bead-work's. A One OF A kind item, NOBODY IN THE WORLD COULD EVER have,

Selfish, maybe. * but the resource was HERE, and I began to talk to the
' Elders,' because they were the LAST ones with the Knowledge, of the Past , methods of making such a rare Item of clothing.

A very old woman ended up making my entire outfit, I wear at the War-Bonnet Rodeo. She didn't have too, but she refused payment for it, so I donated and, in-fact just made a HUGE donation to a child care center, on the tribal land's instead.....
    I didn't feel comfortable with such a personal gift of a woman's stories about her tribe, as she measured my feet with the gut's of DEER......... The entire experience of someone making me shoes, was PRICELESS. Such adventures......???

My tribal outfit is, Very difficult to describe as I actually wanted to 'Throw Up', at time's while it was being made.......... Real leather, is peed upon and tanned the old fashioned way...... And it is a Nasty thing, but I wanted to listen to the last of the indigenous PEOPLES !!!!!!
She called it 'Brain Tanning', and yes the mixture she used was her own urine, and some sort of \Stew of Brain Matter/, from animals.... I like learning new thing's, but even I could not even get NEAR the POT of STEW..........
  it was that BAD !!!
I did nothing, but spend time with an old woman, For these Moccasin.... and tried not to be revolted by the total Stench, of the process of making NATIVE Shoes. I told her my stories too, but........ A totally rich- white, and Middle-class life of COMMONness. Her reply, was," Ah- so"..... She made me feel like a child and I deserved IT. She decorated me like a daughter she lost to death, instead.... |Even I don't know everything, she wrote in the bead's, but Traditional natives who still speak the native language, weep in my arm's at festivals, wearing a work of art, a Women Blessed me with....... Weeping Elders, both male and female line up, just to look at me up close, when I wear that gown........... They don't care my hair is Blond and my features are German... They only see what a member of the Tribe of Shone, calls their 'beautiful DAUGHTER'.
It is an Item, that will eventually be sent to a museum once I'm done with it...........
It is so special, the Tribe requested it upon my death, and I granted the request. My gown, will be displayed in the cultural center of the Fort Hall, Reservation...... It's a done deal...
   I wish to honor the woman who made it for me, after my death as well........

   The culture Love's me for it. But the Media, and liberal collage's deem my acceptance into the tribe, and their acceptance of me as something to discourage....... .
It was just something for 'future reader's' to Think, ABOUT............
That is just bad EDUCATION, on the part of collage professors.

No harm Done to me, but a GREAT deal of Harm is being done to the STUDENTS,
